  1. I haven't had any issues with mine, had it for 15 months at this point. I wash it weekly, wax it monthly and clay bar quarterly.
  2. Sorry about that, a bit misleading, those are all with the 9". Here are some pics of the 6".
  3. So far I am huge fan of the McGaughy's lift but I HIGHLY receommedn going with only the SS kit, don't go with the basic or economy lift, the SS is plenty reasonable for 9" of lift. Also, get the Bilstein upgrades for the shocks and struts, mine rides almost as well as the 6" lift I had with full coilovers.
  4. If you are setting the lift at 9" you won't need to trim anything with that set up, I have the same lift and I am currently running 20x10 -24's with 35x12.50 mudders. I will be going to RS2's that are 20x12 -44 also with 37x13.50's. Even with 37's you only need to trim a bit in the front. You will be golden if you set it at 9" with no trimming at all.
  5. Gearing is obviously important but the larger tires and travel of a good lift will make a massive difference offroad even if the truck is a bit underpowered. I am going to get regared but I can tell you with the new tranny and a good tune my truck on 35" mudders is just as powerful as it was stock.
  6. This is a very big personal decision, we spend a lot of money modding our trucks and it should be for us and nobody else. What you are talking about is more of a street look, you would run 24's with street tires like you would see on an Escalade a lot. This is a very different style than trying to lift it and get aggressive stance and tires. You can run 24's with street tires without anything and 26's with street tires with a level. The tires will end up being low pro, but that is the look you would be going for in this case. If you are looking for a aggressive look without a lift, the comment above is right on, do some 20x10's with 33's on a level and you will be looking good.
  7. To do this right you will need 10-12" of lift, that is running 22x14's with -76 as most are with 37's that give you 13.5 width on the tire. Yes, you can run a 33" or 35" tire that is 12.5" wide but a 12.5" wide tire on a 14" wheel looks like a joke, that is just IMO, the fact is you will not only lose any off road capabilities but you will even have to be careful on road to not rip the tire off of the wheel. I am running a 9" lift and I will be going to 20x12 -44 wheels with 37x13.5 tires and that still might rub a bit in the back fender wall at full turn. For what it's worth I would never go over a 12" wide wheel on a light duty frame and set up. I know plenty of people do it but people also buy 100K Skylines and wreck them at the track...doesn't make it smart...lol
  8. Figured I would follow up with pics of my switch up, I love this lift, I do have to say the ride was better with the PRO COMP stage 2 but that was to be expected with the heavy duty coilovers. That being said I went with the Bilstein upgrade and i am very happy with the ride quality. The look is great, I am still running 35's but I should be picking up some 37" Mud Graps this weekend.
  9. These are great for the money, incredible quality. I paid 2,600 with the bilstein upgrade. You won't need to use any of your fabtech parts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. http://www.roughcountry.com/gm-leveling-lift-kit-1307-8.html That is what I ended up with, lifetime warranty against defects and tried and true, like i said i would never buy an RCX lift but items like this are all very similar. As for aluminum vs. steel, this is just something you need to know because you will need to order the kit for the correct suspension that your truck came with. You can tell my the control arms.
  11. Leveling isn't so much like suspension lifts where you have to worry about brand due to components. Just about everybody uses the same exact set up. For example the TGC 2" level is just a rebranded version that is used for several companies. I would however stick with the lower spacer for ease of install, ride quality is the same. I am using my pro comp coil over with my new lift kit but it can only be set to 7" so I am including the lower spacer to get the 9" and where I would normally run from Skyjacker as a suspension lift, they have a great lower spacer at a crazy low price that will do the trick. Biggest thing for us is to make sure you get the correct spacer (steel or aluminum) for your set up.
  12. Same thing happens with my Silverado, I figured it was because it was lifted and the angle was bad but it looks like its a common theme. As with most other problems in life, just pull out to avoid any major annoyances.
