  1. Give up . On top of all of those issues, i also have a slight acceleration into 2nd gear when starting from a stop. It is something normally that is just aggravating, but sometimes it shifts really hard into second making a sudden jerk. When it is raining and the ground is wet, especially when i am turning left, i have to literally accelerate as slow as possibly or else when it shifts into 2nd my truck peels out. I am pretty sure everyone in my neighborhood thinks i am crazy because i will take off like an 80 year old man and once it hits second gear i accelerate like normal. When i first go the truck i got the whole "it has to learn how you drive" excuse, and they acknowledged that it had a issue with the gear shift. Now they act like i am just crazy. Where i work 3 other people have GMC trucks and mine is the only one who has the gear shifting issue, they all have the 3 issues that you listed. It will be two years that i have owned my truck this February and no fix yet. Until then, i hate everyday that I have to ride in my truck to and from work. Good thing for me I own a Harley so in the spring and the fall i ride that all of the time. Best of luck to you getting anywhere with this, and if you do, please let us know what the resolution to the issue was.
  2. I agree f8l vnm, There is an obvious issue with my transmission, and the only response I get when I bring it in is that there are no codes when they hook up the computer. Does GM not have any mechanics on staff? What happened to the guys who take the care out for a spin and can feel or hear something wrong with the vehicle. I guarantee if I brought my truck to my self employed mechanic he would absolutely notice something off with the transmission. I am about to make my third appointment for my transmission, I am bringing in the copy of document with the service action for my issue, it is for the one guy that actually had his car fixed without any BS. I have researched this issue and found that it pertains to any vehicles built in Mexico based on the vin numbers. Mine matches up perfectly, I'll let you know what the excuse this time is for why they didn't fix it. The sad part about this is I am not a Ford fan at all, and my company just bought a bunch of Ford trucks for company vehicles, and they shift flawlessly. I hate the interior of it but to not have to deal with a jerk every time i shift into second gear or down from third into second, i am almost willing to deal with it. I have owned Chevy and GM vehicles my whole life, and I figured I would be treated better than this when i had a warranty issue. The plastic on my running board is cracking where i step up to get in the vehicle and I have the bumper to bumper warranty, wonder if they will fix that.
  3. My truck does the same thing that you speak about and when I enter my vin into the website i only get the N140121 for the transmission oil cooler connection. I have taken my truck in twice and first time they acknowleged the jump in to second but said I need to drive it about 5000 miles to learn my driving style and the second time they said they can't fix it since they have duplicate the issue. Hope you have a good dealer.
  4. I live in an area without any hills at all, and sometimes when I am at a green turn arrow and I make the turn and let off the gas in the turn and then reapply that will happen to me. It revs real high then catches a gear. I took my truck in twice explaining that issue and the issue of the hard jerk into second gear as well. They will not fix it, this las time i went they simply stated they took the car for 20 miles( on my gas at that) and could not reproduce the proplem. It seems to me the only way some of us are going to get a fix is if they do a recall on the transmissions. Good luck with getting your repair.
  5. When did they start putting the DI on trucks, my friend here at work has nearly the same exact truck as mine but a 2008 or 2009 and his engine idles as quietly as can be. I also have a 2000 Chevy silverado, and the engine isn't as loud as my 14. I can't stand the stupid ticking sound when I am in a drive though and the sound is bouncing off of the building. You would think they could desing it to be a tad bit softer of a tick, or put a layer of cloth around to absorb some of the noise, something. I have the remote start and I don't even use it because i don't want to hear the ticking when I walk up to get in it. Sometimes when i start it, it doesn't tick at all which made me think it was a defect at first, but everywhere i read says its a DI making the noise.
  6. Please let us know what they have decided as a repair option. I was about to schedule a service again.
  7. Good luck getting it fixed. I brought mine in for the same issue, was told that "my transmission needs to learn my driving style and to bring it back in if it persists". Well like i told the guy, "I believe you are just delaying the inevitable and will have me driving around pissed off not enjoying my new truck". Anyway I got a recall for an oil pump and I am bringing it in and telling them to fix the transmission again. We will see what excuse they come up with this time. It blows me away that instead of trying to help you out they just BS you out of the door. What good is a warranty if they refuse to fix the issue. I will let everyone know what the excuse is when I get my truck next time as I am certain they will not even attempt to fix it besides "flashing" the computer system.
