  1. Has anyone heard anything about the new v8 engine they are going to build? size? It was announced a year ago. I figured some info would leak out about it by now! It was for trucks and SUV’s.
  2. Can someone give me a print out of GMs parts diagram for a 9 speed 2018 equinox transmission. I specifically need the left axle shaft seal area. My seal is leaking after installing a new ACDelco axle and seal. I’m wondering if there is a part inside the trans that may be bad such as a race or bearing that may sit behind the seal? No warranty left.
  3. 2018 Equinox with 360 view camera system. The front grille camera is just black like it’s not working. Tried tracing the camera wire, but can’t tell where it goes. Can’t find a fuse for it either. Any idea what to do? I can’t find any wiring diagrams either...Thanks!
  4. Has anyone upgraded their 2014-18 Silverado rear camera to one with better resolution? If so, where did you get it and is it plug and play?
  5. My front rotors warped at 28,000 miles, dealership turned them under warranty and it helped the shaking till 38,000 and I was out of warranty. I replaced the front rotors and pads at 45,000 with the Powerstop z36 drilled And slotted rotors with their ceramic pads. No dust! No fade! Best upgrade I've ever did! $204 for the entire kit! Well worth it! I've not touched the back and I'm at 62,000 miles. When changing the pads, make sure to use the high temp brake lube on all the moving parts (pins, metal pad slides, etc). Also, inspect the rubber boots that cover the pins and if they are damaged, replace them. They come in a brake hardware kit you can get at any parts store.
  6. 2 inch leveling kit from Rough Country and 275 65 18 Michelin Primacy tires
  7. My friend has a 2016 5.3 with 40,000 miles and 3 bad injectors. It's going to cost him $1,000. When I had my oil changed at the dealer, the service guy told me they are having a lot of injector problems in the 5.3 and 6.2. I have a friend with a 2014 5.3 that has had injectors replaced. I know 3 Escalades with 6.2's that have had injectors replaced. It's a common problem. These examples are local people and not posted on the internet.....that's where my info is coming from. I'm sure there are more people without problems than those with problems...I get that, but I was just wondering what I can do to prevent a future injector problem?
  8. Why are so many 2014-18 5.3 fuel injectors going bad? Is it due to no changeable fuel filter? Are they just clogged? How can we prevent it? Sea foam?
  9. My 2015 Silverado rubber/ plastic wiper cowl trim has faded to a white gray color instead of black. Tried using the restore black plastic polish with no luck. Anyone else have this problem? Suggestions?
  10. Friend has a 2016 5.3 that has the following codes p2101 p0500 p0300 . Has intermittent miss and check engine light on. Has 40,000 and out of warranty. I checked his plug wires, all seemed ok. Any suggestions?
  11. I have a 2015 z71 cc with the 18 inch factory GoodYear SRA tires. I have 55,000 miles on these tires. They look like they have at least 10,000 more miles left. What's the average miles everyone is getting out of them before replacing them? I was also thinking about replacing them with a 275, will this hurt my gas mileage? Thanks
  12. Mine was the plastic track above the windshield that divides the top from the doors. Just put masking tape over the end of it at the windshield and test drive it. If this stops the sound, pull up on the plastic piece and squeeze some black weatherstripping caulk under it, then tape it down till it's dried.
  13. I have a 2015 Silverado cc z71 with a 2 inch leveling kit. I'm wanting to replace my 265 65 18 Good Year SRA tires that have 52,000 miles. I want a quiet tire. I was thinking of going up a size to a 275, but worried it may affect my mpg? What size and brand did you go with? Did it affect your mpg?
