  1. OK, thanks for enlightening me about discs/rotors not being part of the brake system.
  2. Did you read the post I was responding to above (Post #1596)? Same symptoms! And I have established, as noted in my post, that brakes are not the cause since...it vibrates the same when coasting to a stop.
  3. That is my issue also (no high speed vibes of significance). My '14 Silverado, regular cab, short bed, Z71, 2WD, V8 shudders VERY OBVIOUSLY when slowing down between 32 and 18 MPH. It does not shudder if I put it in Neutral while decelerating. I have eliminated V4 mode and tires/wheels/brakes as likely causes. I think it is either the torque converter remaining locked-up too long or something in the transmission. It is felt in the steering wheel and throughout the entire cab. I have not taken it to the dealer yet for a variety of reasons. With less than 800 miles, it seems like a great truck otherwise but I am very disappointed in the unacceptable vibes in a $37,000 new truck...! .
  4. That is the vibe issue with my new `14 RCSB Z71 5.3L 2WD. It's a vibe from 30 down and a shudder at 20 - 23. It is NOT the tires/wheels/brakes. It is not the AFM. It IS in the driveline (it disappears only when in Neutral)...but where?
  5. My 2WD Z71 was recently lowered about 2" in the rear for leveling (although it might not look like it) using McGaughy's 2" drop shackles only. I'll probably paint the rear inner fender wells flat black to further de-emphasize the wheel well openings. I would like to lower it more but just don't need the associated issues and headaches. Also added Corsa "Sport" duals (first class 304 SS hardware and yummy sound) and an UnderCover Flex bed cover atop a Line-X spray bedliner. Lightweight Centerline 18X8 wheels are ordered with Nitto 421Q tires. Having fun, fun, fun. Cheers!
  6. Hi folks! My new Z71 with a quick phone pic.
