Seat Movement Issues
Greg58 replied to jdvaughn's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Troubleshooting
Thanks to all you guys and especially the one who figured out the hose clamp fix! I have been following this for a while now and have had the seat issue for about 2 months. Took it to the dealer for the first service and they did the oil, tires, and one update that had to do with the neutral issue. The odometer update was going to take them 2 hours so passed on that one for now. Talked to the service rep about the seat issue and he ordered parts but I did not have a good feeling about it. Went to the hardware store last night and did the clamp fix when I got home. All I can say is wow! Driving to work this morning it felt like I had a new truck again! Should of done this a lot sooner! If and when the dealer calls I think I will just put off the fix for a long time since this one works!!! Thanks again all!!!! -

Question for those that have done the hose clamp fix? After doing the fix can you move the seat? My wife is -short woops not politacally correct, I mean FUN SIZE. Not that she gets to drive it, but would like for her to be able to if needed. -
2014 Sierra Anti-theft question
Greg58 replied to grizzlyrafting's topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & Sierra
This is just what I was searching for! My dad has a new Escalade and has had the exact same thing on his 3 times now. Funny thing is 2 of them have been at the same little restaurant. He was sitting where he could see the car the whole time. We are thinking maybe some kind of electronic interference caused it? We thought of the obvious things like emptying a dumpster etc but nothing happened like that. This restaurant is a very rural place so nothing obvious happened. curious if any one else has had the issue? -
No blind spot bubble mirror on passenger side?
Greg58 replied to Cliff14Denali's topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & Sierra
The passenger side on my truck is a convex type mirror, therfore you don't need the blind spot bubble. The whole mirror is one that is why it says "objects in mirror are closer than they appear". -
2014 Silverado/Sierra Tips and Tricks

I have a silver Truck and my nav unit shows a white one, so I went to Hobby Lobby and found one of those permanent sharpie paint pens in silver and painted it to match! Looks great! Legal Disclaimer: This is a joke! Do not try this on your truck!!!! -
How true! I open the hood of my new truck and just say "Yup thats an engine" and close it!

At 56 years old I just purchased my first brand new vehicle. I love this truck and I love the warrenty I have never had. Each time I needed a new vehicle I would get sticker shock and end up looking around and finding a 2 or 3 year old vehicle that I felt was more affordable. I now have a paid for house and no kids living at home anymore and felt that the new technology and appeal of the new chevy's was worth it. Young kids think they should be able to go out and buy the newest vehicle out there and complain because they are so expensive. That is what gets them in a lot of trouble! I know the kids in my age group had no problems driving rust buckets and enjoying them!
