  1. I've been following this thread off and on since it was about 40 pages. After a year of going back and forth with the dealer they finally got the truck fixed. Had a vibe from 40-50 in steering wheel (felt only under no load, ie coasting down hill) a complete new rear differential seems to of taken care of it. I had a hard time believing a bad rear differential would cause a steering vibration, but it appears so. Good luck to the others fighting with GM, don't give up and be relentless - paid too much money for a truck for it to not be 100% right.
  2. Normal bs stuff, rotating tires, road force balance. They tried the newest driveshaft. Only three things but mind you, they took two weeks to do those!
  3. I've had mine to the dealer a few times now for the 40-50mph vibe with little luck. It's been about a month since it's been in but I noticed on the highway the other day that my steering wheel is no longer straight while going down the highway. Try to straighten it up and it veers left. I'm hoping that has something to do with the vibe otherwise I'll have no choice but to call gm. The dealership has been nice but they have run out of options and won't take my courtesy hint to get gm involved. Goes in Thursday morning, hopefully they give me some good news. Think when I joined this thread it was about half the size, absolute shame gm hasn't taken this seriously with such a nice looking vehicle.
  4. New driveshaft installed this morning and steering wheel vib is still there. Think I'll wait until tomorrow morning to call dealer back, this is getting frustrating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Oh it's the text language barrier here. I'm not agitated so much at the service guys (yet, until they give up or say it's fixed when it's not) just the fact that we spend good money on a vehicle to have crap like this. This is my first brand new vehicle and may be my last depending on how this situation and the next few years roll on. As far as driveshafts, I know my factory one is aluminum but not sure if it had a pn on it. I was under the truck this morning and don't remember seeing a tag or anything. Anyways, I'll keep an eye on recent posts in here and will update when the new shaft gets installed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. You should of heard some of the BS the tech was first saying. "I couldn't feel the vibration. I'm betting it's the nature of the beast. These trucks are so sensitive to the road, you feel everything. " That last one had me good. My camaro feels everything in the road, not the truck. Of course another hilarious thing is the whole time he is explaining to me why the vibration isn't in the driveline (only feel it in steering wheel, no other vibration, blah blah blah) - we get back to the lot and he says "I'm thinking driveshaft." I had to hold back a laugh, your telling me you spent ten minutes defending why it's not in the driveline to turn around and tell me you think it is? I'll drive the damn thing through the showroom floor if I don't like the outcome of this! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Tech couldn't feel the vibration, had me drive a similar truck on the lot - felt nothing but smoothness. Ordered a driveshaft for it (I'm doubtful after reading 90+ pages). I feel like I'm repeating the same crap as everyone else, this should get interesting real quick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Strike one, all they did was rebalance the tires. Service writer was even doubting the balance would do it justice. Go back tomorrow morning to take the tech for a ride to show them exactly what I'm feeling. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Unfortunately my truck is in the shop right now. Dropped it off last Thursday for the 40-50mph vibration in the steering wheel. ('14 5.3 crew 4x4 3.42 rear). This thread has given me little hope that the issue is going to be fixed, or at least fixed professionally. Hose clamps on a driveshaft??? Get the hell out of here. Best of luck to you guys still trying to get it fixed- I'll report back what my dealer came up with but I'm not optimistic by any means! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I was torn between brownstone and tungsten. Wife swayed me into getting the tungsten though. Both sharp looking colors! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Sticker price was 45, incentives knocked it down to around 37... With trade-in I ended up financing 28. '14 silverado lt cc 4x4. Those high country's were nice, but you should only get what you can afford! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. After reading through all this and looking at my lights (stock halogen, no projector). Is it safe to say that I would have to split the housing to do a retro? Not afraid to do a retro (my 99 camaro turned out great!) But I may just wait until more stock projector headlights show up for sale and retro those. I just don't feel right hacking away at the truck just yet.
