  1. I have had several 6.2 and its a rocket ship. Loved that motor. Bought a 2021 denali with 3.0. Literally the best truck i have ever owned and the fuel mileage is fantastic. Tows like a boss. 2 days ago we went to the local dealer who had a perfect 1 owner, garage kept, maintained Yukon denali. Had the 6.2 motor and its for the wife so i was considering it. Very well versed with the lifter issue since 2020. It had 33k on it and was showroom new. Then read the Carfax a bit more carefully and saw the lifters had been replaced at 21K!!!!! I came to my senses and I will never consider signing up for that possiblity at the price point especially. 3.0 or nothing.
  2. The trans cooler. Notorious for holding crap and screwing the new trans upon new fluid going through the lines. True PPE upgraded cooler is about 330 bucks, a good time to upgrade and also their thermostat. The 10 speed has been doing pretty good, 100K for a trans is not normal. Things happen but with GM helping out on this its a no brainer to fix. But the flush before new trans is a must.
  3. With current interest rates and the new trucks about 13K more than the old truck just a few yrs old its cheaper to fix IMHO. The new prices are out of control. 7500 or 75K for a new truck. You have no present equity going towards a new truck at 7% interest on top of it. The LM2 has been super reliable and looks like it will be be a high mileaage motor by all accounts. I would do the oil drive belt while the trans is out, and a new GM trans all day if it were me. I would be very vocal about how much the cooler and trans lines NEED to be flushed properly not to contaminate your new trans.
  4. I have a 2021 LM2 CC at 23K...never noticed it but after reading this I pay attention as i back out of the garage. It occassionally has a thump...which is the rear brakes grabbing when cold. If slow and touching brakes i get the brake grabbing thump, squeak thing. Seems to be only first thing in the day after sitting all night.
  5. There are several Hotshot tow guys on youtube who show their sleeping setup in the HD2500 trucks (same cab). Even how to run AC and heat so not to idle truck. Some good ideas on there. It can be done.
  6. Yeah my life insurance policy is a little too high, more of an incentive for my wife to have an "accident"!!!! LOL looks good!
  7. It cant be advertised for a gas truck because the gas tank is considered part of the emissions system....which cant be tampered with or parts sold to tamper with. Kinda whats going on for diesel trucks presently with the EPA hunting down vendors and tuners. The fuel tank on a diesel is not considered part of the emissions system...I'm told which is why they can sell it. BUT....even though it is not advertised as a gas tank...I am sure you can use it.
  8. Will never pay for Onstar. I have triple AAA mainly for the wife in case there is an issue and I am away. The new Iphone 14pro has crash detection. I have remote start on my key fob, and my phone does everything I need.
  9. The offset is different on the 2019 up trucks because of a larger caliper. Thats why the previous generation truck rims hit on the front. Its not a 6 piston caliper. Need specific 2019 and up rim. There is a BB kits and option from GM .
  10. Something is going on. These trucks have too much going on now. Everything is going through a module or computer. Nothing is a simple switch. This used to be a German car issue....now they caught up!! Good luck
  11. I have a 2021 and bought the GMC puddle light from GM accessories. Mine stay on with the other lights. Something is wrong with yours.
  12. They do make snowflakes that have the correct backspace to fit 2019-2023. I had Snowflakes on my 2017 Denali Yukon, but 2019 and up are a different part# due to front brakes.
  13. Pretty unusual, but sounds like a defective flywheel let go and took out alot of stuff for them to be tearing into the motor also. If it rolled to a stop I will bet your rear diff is just fine. I'd be much happier with a crate motor and trans than anyone ripping into the motor and fixing something. The LM2 is literally their best drivetrain right now, and few big issues. New from Gm should be plug and play so to speak, and put this in your rear view mirror as its not a common issue. Good luck, keep us updated
  14. Flywheel failed?? It killed a motor and transmission?? Happy its covered, but any other details regarding?? They diagnosed or found a failed flywheel or just said they thought that?? 79K and getting a new drivetrain is a win.
