  1. I have the same problem, I bet if you watch your DIC you will find it happens at those speeds when you are in V4 mode. Will happen in V4 mode at those speeds usually around a slight incline. Press the gas pedal a little more and it goes into V8 mode and disappears. This happened really bad while towing my camper and lead to a transmission replacement at 98,000 miles (most likely not the problem). 2 years later this seems to have come back with the symptoms you described. Right now it is more of a buzzing then a shudder but when it was shuddering was when I was pulling my camper.
  2. As stated above it is most likely the shark fin antenna. Had the exact same problem on my 2014 Silverado. I was also getting no GPS signal on my navigation. (Shows up on the map screen in the upper right corner with a GPS logo with a red X over it.) Search Youtube for "How To Remove Shark Fin Antenna! 2014-2018 Silverado/Sierra OnStar Fin!" and you will see it is an easy replacement. Replaced it and immediately fixed my XM signal and GPS signal.
  3. Not that I am aware. I drove for several hours towing the camper with that damn thing going off. Checked all the connections and could not make it go off when doing so. Spent 5 hours one trip with it doing it over and over. When we stopped I checked the 7 pin connection, no issue there. I also checked out all the trailer wiring and nothing found there either. Hooked up again 5 days later and the problem just disappeared.
  4. Stars_Fan I got it from Donald Hardy, Product Specialist 1-888-855-4621 Ext. 415 autocustoms.com Keep an eye on their site usually they run a 10% discount on Sundays. I was able to get mine for $380.00. But that was after purchasing a Pop N Lock, Tonneau Cover and the AMP Power running boards. BEDRUG Full Bedliner Part Number: BRC07CCK Sale Price: $413.25 http://autocustoms.com/p-511-bedrug-full-bedliner.aspx?submodel=&submodel2=5.8%20ft%20Bed&submodel3= Regards, David
  5. Finished the BedRug install last night. Now it is time to clean the truck again. Regards, David
  6. Mike 1220 see this post. It is much easier than the old way. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/156839-assist-steps-running-boards-nerf-bars/?p=1454393
  7. Install was not too bad. Things to watch out for. When you attach the motors to the arms make sure they are not fully extended or it is a pain to tighten bolt 10. I found that you could easily attach the motor to the arm once the arm is attached to the truck. But you must attach it before you attach the running boards. I would also complete all steps including the LED lighting attachments then do the running boards. This is so that you do not have to be a contortionist to wire tie them up after the running boards are on. I would put the running boards on LAST once everything else is in place. It took me about 4 hours but I was also installing the POP N LOCK at the same time since the wiring was going into the same area. Not having to crack open the doors and hack that wiring I am sure saves a ton of time and future failure points. As my truck is on 20" tires I did not have to use any jacks, just my crawler and me on my back. Here are my pictures: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/157013-what-have-you-done-to-your-14-today/?p=1454389 Regards, David
  8. OK OK here is the proof. The POP N LOCK, well you will just have to take my word on it. It was smart on my part to wait to install that when I did the boards since I had to route the wiring and essentially remove the same interior pieces. I have the truck BedRug coming later today and I will install that soon with the weather sealing kit for the tailgate and the foam blocks under the side rails. It is a little dirty since we had a ton of rain here last night and into this morning. Extended Retracted LED lighting PNP connector. Wow did not see the smudges before this picture was taken.
  9. Installed my Plug and Play Amp power boards, the Pop and Lock and the GM under seat box. Just waiting for my bed rug to get here and I will be all set with this truck for now. Regards, David
  10. So I installed my AMP Plug and Play boards today. I think I almost ran the battery down playing with them and watching them work. Awesome product. Regards, David
  11. I was told that I should have a shipping tracking number later today. Here is to hoping. Regards, David
  12. Funny you mention this. Was told it was in stock on Monday and then today I was informed it is back ordered for 2 weeks. You know I am willing to pay that even though it is pretty steep if all it requires is to run 2 wires from the running boards into the cabin to attach to their harness. Better than ripping apart all 4 doors on a new truck. Besides think of the time savings and the cleaner install with less wires taped into. Regards, David
  13. I placed an order for the AMP PowerStep yesterday with http://tonneaucoversworld.com/accessories-2.aspx and I called them to order and they said that the new Plug and Play options just hit their inventory on Monday. So I ended up ordering them and am excited that I will not have to be ripping into the doors. I spoke with Donald Hardy 1-888-855-4621 Ext. 415 and he is aware of them. I am excited to see how much of a difference there will be in the install time for this new option. I will respond back here with pictures and the time it takes me for the install. 76154-01A - AMP PowerStep Running Boards Vehicle Information 2014 Silverado Crew 1500 5.8 Bed AMP-76154-01A $1,299.00 Regards, David 2014 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab, Short box 6.2 with the max trailering package.
