  1. Act now! Mileage will hurt above 20k Best of luck.
  2. In your CAMVAP application ask that an "independent" licensed mechanic review your case, also have the CAMVAP Arbitrator drive along with you to experience this your truck's vibrations. Video and a time line journal of events is key here to win your case! GM what the f*** fix your truck's from shaking. Best of luck!
  3. I hope they/you drive some other trucks to compare, then you will have a good argument. Best of luck to ya!
  4. Just trying to help you out, this does fix some peoples issues though! What's your service dealer saying about your issue? Good luck
  5. Here you go possibly your issue.....http://sandyblogs.com/techlink/?s=Check+valve&search=Search Good luck
  6. Fuel pressure check valve line, located at rear of engine closer to the right side. This will make a rattling noise when check valve is defective. Check valve is located inside this short fuel line piece. Hope this helps you find your issue, not gonna claim that this is your problem though but a possibility! Here you go for a read http://sandyblogs.com/techlink/?s=Check+valve&search=Search Good luck
  7. There was an issue with some torque converter failures. The cause I believe was hairline fractures, that may have been caused by bad machining, or weakened welds? There was a TSB on the issue. Not sure of the TSB number, or year and range though. Also there were some solenoid known failures as well. Good luck
  8. Report your safety concerns to the NHTSA site. Compile and send a registered letter listing your safety concerns with your VIN # included with a contact phone number to the address listed in your owners hand book. Keep your letter and concerns brief to "what is happening and when" and keep all other "I think" info out of the safety letter! Now you have met your legal requirement of notification of safety issue to the manufacture. If anything happens at a latter date you now have a legal argument of neglect to fix their safety related issue. If and when they agree to have your vehicle checked and repaired, ask that a factory engineer be included in their repair attempts, and only except your vehicle back with a report of findings and or fix applied. Your the owner and are legally allowed to know what work that has been done to your vehicle. Best of luck
  9. Report this issue to the..... https://www.nhtsa.gov/ This is a safety issue needing an investigation!
  10. Report your issue to the.....this is a safety related problem that requires to be investigated! https://www.nhtsa.gov/ Thxs
  11. The only 2 things that can make that sound and noise are fuel related. First being the injectors they are alot louder now then in past years, but I think your issue is from this the other possibility....the fuel return line check valve. It is at the back of the engine and runs against the engine bay / cab wall middle of instrument panel. It is known to be loud while ticking away at engine rpm. This could be removed and insulated to reduce this unpleasant noise. Take care and good luck!
  12. Yes frame beaming! It happens when energy being produced by means of the engine, driveline, and road to tire stimulates the frame. These energy frequencies should be predictable within an operating range/pattern. If any component is changed out example (tires, driveline, body mounts, engine mounts ect...) this could change the energy frequency enough to cancel out some energy removing the shake, or actually start a new shake as well! This is why some people claim their shaking started after breakin of truck, or after a tire swap or component change. In my believe that all of these trucks shake from engine energy, but most trucks absorb enough energy to keep it in check. The early 5.3L (2007-2013) have a resonance when in v4 mode as well, but the frames are heavier and absorbs energy better in my opinion. Some compression rate changes and a complete swap over to aluminum blocks from steel, also invite some investigation as well. Gm knows whats going on, and they will fix it I'm guessing at next major model change. Thxs
  13. Bingo! They build in a safety margin to allow enough air in to the cabin to protect occupants from build up of harmful gases.
  14. Ask your mechanic to place mark a line with crayon from rim to tire, this will rule out his suspicions.....and then a new theory will be hatched again!I have heard people claim this, but it's not true in my opinion. Thxs Good luck
