  1. I transferred my KICKER sub portion to my Duramax from my 14' 1500. It wasn't hard to do. I just had to splice into two wires behind the drivers side kicker panel and run the power wires under the hood. If I hadn't already had this system from my other truck, I would have gone LOUDER with an aftermarket sub/amp/control knob.
  2. The sub only kit does require you to splice into your speakers wires. I should know, they sent me this kit by mistake before sending me the full kit with is truly a plug-n-play system. I should have paid more attention to the directions that came with it. The splice connectors looked just like these...
  3. Just wondering if anyone bought just the sub enclosure setup and if they still have their directions lying around. I need to know which colored wires to slice into behind the front left kicker panel. Thanks
  4. Come to Savannah and buy mine for $500 I'll help you install it after you hear it in mine.
  5. I wish they offered just the front option. Sounds really clean. So I could add my own sub.
  6. No,the front amp/crossover and a self powered sub have separate power leads. They can be separated if you already have the bose system.
  7. RhinoLiner'd the bed and installed a Black powered coated tool box made by United Welders.
  8. I'm thinking about selling the sub portion of my kicker setup. Just not enough bump for my taste. Love the high/mids up front.
  9. If I had the Bose,I would have went to a custom shop for a sub. But the base stereo is seriously lacking volume and clarity.
  10. If you could get the wiring schematic from kicker I can see where it wouldn't be hard to add a sub. The one good thing about the amp/crossover setup is the highs/mids sound much better up front. Don't get me wrong when some hard hitting bass tunes come on it does sound good.
  11. No, if it had a little more bass my answer would be yes.
  12. Took me about 1.5 hours to install. Sounds much better that factory system. In my personal opinion, It could use a little more punch but it is what it is. Happy overall.
  13. Order and received mine last night. Opened it to find they sent me the sub and not the sub/amp combo. Had to mail it back and hopefully will get the right one over-nighted tomorrow. I'll let y'all know how it sounds.
  14. I know Im gonna get ripped for not reading the previous 20 pages of info but...I'm 6'5, my wife is 5'9, we both agree out 2wd truck sits on the high side. I would rather spend the money on a decent set of black powder coated nerf bars than wear the edge off my leather seats sliding out for the next 10+ years. I'm waiting on my rear 2" lowering shackles to arrive. If I'm still not happy with the ride adjustment after the mod, what set of Nero bars do you recommend? Name and part number please. Thanks in advance!
