  1. Hey everyone, I have a 2014 Sierra with the 5.3L, I really don't like posting on the forums for issues because it can give a bad representation of what is generally a good vehicle. My truck never really exhibited any of the usual issues like the vibration but it has had a couple small fixes here and there. Moving seat, rusting frame, etc. this time I just wanted to give everyone the heads up. Well a couple months ago I was driving and the oil pump failed. It took 2 weeks to fix. When it happened I was pretty concerned about any possible damage it caused but the dealer said it looked ok. Fast forward to last week. Merging onto the highway, heard a pop and lights came on everywhere. Got it to the dealer, lifters collapsed on a cylinder. I was without my truck all last week as they fixed that issue. This sunday, less than 60 miles after I picked it up, I went to accelerate in town and heard the same pop but this time it wouldn't even move if I gave it throttle. Towed it down to the dealer and they finally looked at it yesterday. This time they are ordering me a brand new engine. Thankfully I still have powertrain warranty but this is a major disappointment and honestly I don't even trust the truck anymore. What would your recommendations be? Sell it, trade it, keep it and run it into the ground?
  2. That rust is terrible and the exact reason I've had a hard time deciding what boards to buy. I think no matter what, I'm going to be doing my steps in bedliner when I decide.
  3. Im just wondering if anyone who is Running D or D2 Rigids in the Sierra Fog light bracket has the Rigid Colored covers on their lights. I want some amber covers for when it's foggy but I want to make sure they fit before I order them.
  4. I just got off the phone with BFG and they recommend 50 PSI. On a side note, if my tires were wearing poorly because my tire shop underinflated them, is it possible take them back and ask for some sort of reimbursement? Or is it just all on me for not having them inflated properly?
  5. I'm wondering if anyone is seeing unusual wear on their front tires. I noticed today that the tread on the outside edges looks like it's wearing more than it should. I assume it's from turning since the back tires don't show this wear at all. I've only got like 4000 miles on mine with essentially no gravel. Pretty much all the lugs on the outside edge of the tire show wear like this, while the ones in the center of the tire are fine. I'm running about 38 PSI in the tires.
  6. I would also like to see pics of the RB10's on a leveled truck. I love the look of them but just haven't seen any in person.
  7. It was nice outside today so I finally got around to installing my Bilstein 5100's on the back of my truck. Now they are on all 4 corners and I love the ride. I definitely think it's better than the factory Rancho's.
  8. I just traded my SRA's off for KO2's at the local tire shop. I got $125 each for my SRA's that had 12,000km on them. When they gave me that quote I took it and ran because I wouldn't pay that for them new.
  9. I had Bilstein 5100's installed for a very reasonable price. I ordered the shocks online and had them shipped free to my door in 3 days from Richmond, BC. The shocks were $150 each. Install and Alignment was another $300 so my all in cost to level my truck was $600 including alignment. I know a guy who had a Readylift 2.25" Level installed at the dealer near me for $1100. So Bilsteins aren't really more expensive to do.
  10. Finally got some pics of my Leveled Sierra AT on BFG 275/60R20 KO2's
  11. Here's a pic of my 2014 Sierra AT on 275/60R20 KO2's and Bilstein 5100's in the front set on max height. No block in the back.
  12. I just had my 275/60R20 KO2's installed yesterday on my truck. Absolutely love them. Quiet as the SRA's and I really can't tell much of a difference in handling on pavement. Hopefully I'll be able to take some pics this weekend and post them up. I have Bilstein 5100's installed on the max setting and I don't think I could have gone 275/65R20 without some rubbing.
  13. I installed Bilstein 5100's on the max setting. I gained 2" up front and at no point have I thought that the front looks higher than the back. That being said... You could also go with 5100's on the second highest setting which I believe gives you about 1.3" of lift. Might be exactly what you're looking for.
  14. I don't know why either but the right side of my truck is higher too. Before my level, the right side was 1/2" higher. After the level and alignment, it's slight more than 1/4" higher than the left side. Can't notice it at all but it's just kinda funny.
