  1. Well at least mines not the only one then. Not a big deal, but I agree the order sheet says that it should. At this point I'm just happy they finally built it.
  2. After 8 months waiting my Z71, LTZ has arrived at the dealer. The order spec says the Z71 come with hard fender badges and a grill badge (Lt & LTZ) Mine doesn't have a grill badge. Is this what everyone else is seeing or did they just miss it during assembly?
  3. Well it took 8 months to get it built. But arrived at the dealership within a week.
  4. At this point I am happy to be waiting for a "built" truck. My order was placed 2/2, the truck was finally built 9/28. Now to see how long it takes to get to Pa. I guess.
  5. It's all in what your expectations are. I have had both and currently have a '20 6.6 gas. The last diesel I had was a '15. The damn thing lived in the shop. I couldn't take it anymore and went gas. I pull a 12k fifth wheel and it actually surprises me how well it does. We made a 1500 mile run this summer to Tn. from Pa. The truck pulled ever hill at 65-70 and averaged 8.9mpg. Does it pull with ease like the Duramax, not even close. But gets the job done fine and at 40k miles has never missed a beat. I have a 24 on order and figure it can only be better with the 10 speed.
  6. It appears that GM only wants to build crew cabs. So good luck. I've had a double cab ordered since Feb 6th. Finally got an allocation on June 30th. But it still doesn't have a build date. With the looming strike, I don't expect to see the truck this year now. As long as your order was placed as a sold unit in your name, the price at the time you ordered should be locked in if that makes you feel any better.
  7. I'd be curious who he had to kiss to get it. I've had a ltz double cab gasser on order since the first week of Feb. Finally got an allocation in mid June. But still don't have a build date. With the insane list of demands the UAW has out there, a strike is pretty much guaranteed. So, I figure the chance of seeing the truck this year is slim.
  8. You aren't alone..mine does this once in a while also. Unfortunately this is only one of the issues mine is experiencing. I get random service rear vision system warnings and the usb drive has quit working properly. It will only play a few songs off a 4 gig drive with 80 albums on it. Will not allow searching the drive at all by album or artist. I've tried multiple thumb drives and still no go. Dealer is supposed to be researching a cure, but nothing so far.
  9. 2014 double cab 5.3 maw tow, towing 7500 lb travel trailer. Last trip was about 140 miles in western Pa hills, got 10.7. Heading west to Bowling Green next week, will see how it does across the Ohio flat lands. Never got over 12 towing with my previous duramax, so I will be happy with anything in double digits.
  10. I swear I took a pic from other side. Seems to have disappeared from my phone. I will take another tomorrow and post it.
  11. Ok, The good.. They don't look horrible and I can see past the trailer with them. The bad.. Fit too loose around the stock mirrors making them hard to keep adjusted. I'm gonna try adding some self stick foam inside them to get a tighter fir and see if it helps. Will be towing on Wed. again, so hopefully I can get this done before then.
  12. I'm in the same boat. My last truck was a 2500 D/A with tow mirrors. It only cleared garage doors by about 1" a side. That's why I am giving the slip on's a try. Going camping this weekend this weekend. I will snap a pic and let you know how they work on Monday. I'm sure they won't be as nice to tow with as the factory tow mirrors. Hopefully I can live with the trade off.
  13. No...ordered a pair of slip on Longviews for the time being. Should be here today. Picture was taken last night at local marina. Needed a flat parking lot to set up the WD hitch.
  14. There is a hill on my way home from work. 50 mph zone, my truck pulls it 6th at 1500 rpm, pulses like you are describing every time. Annoying, but it doesn't appear to hurt anything.
