  1. I did a lot of diesel racing in the past, and watched a few guys learn the hard way about edge and diablo programmers. Too much fuel with aftermarket injectors = high egts = melted aluminum pistons. Saw a few others lift heads from overboosting. I know turbo diesels are a galaxy away from a NA gasser, but it still left a bad taste in my mouth. Tune FOR your parts, don't throw one on top of them.
  2. What he's saying is that Justin will analyze your engines running condition (log file), and let you know if you have any sensors out of normal range causing performance loss. A code reader won't do that. A shelf tuner will dump the same parameters on a stock truck, as it will on a truck with a cam, higher compression, and head work. Justin will tune to match what your engine needs specifically. He'll also retune when you make changes, so you get the most out of your upgrade purchases. There's really no comparison. You're not going to find anyone that says there's anything as good as a custom tune.....except maybe a hypertech salesman.
  3. Do you have some info, or are you just posting a picture? Mine has the same motor style, cable drive to the accelerator. Looks pretty close if not it.
  4. Looks similar, I'm not in the Tahoe at the moment.
  5. And then? It's been unhooked a few times over the past couple months.
  6. Nope, brake lights work great. I'm going to pull this thing apart this weekend and likely break it.
  7. Haven't even found one for sale, makes me think problems aren't very common. Wouldn't bother me, except I'm 6' tall, and my girlfriend is 5'1".
  8. NGK TR5IX are the same as Delco spec'd Iridiums, and are much easier to come by in my area. Just make sure you don't get the old spec .060 Platinums, and you'll be fine.
  9. Anyone have experience troubleshooting adjustable pedals? I've cleaned mine, checked wiring, adjusted the worm gear loaders on the ends of the drive mechanisms, and had no luck. Problem is that they will only move about 3/4" forward or backward from center. I've checked other trucks like mine, and they have 3-4" of travel. Any ideas?
