  1. Here's a pic of mine from our trip to Arkansas last weekend.
  2. I don't recall seeing this, but has anyone experiencing vibrations in the steering wheel had any work done to the steering column or steering wheel? I have a vibration around 45mph that persists. Today I tried pulling down on the steering wheel while it was vibrating and with the applied pressure the vibration seemed to disappear.... I do have the manual tilt and telescoping steering column.
  3. Sorry for the delay! Here is my update. Picked up my truck Friday afternoon, and because of all the work that was done the paperwork was not ready, so they are going to send that to me. So, I really have no idea what all they actually did, or what replacing the driveline entails. The truck does seem really smooth over 70 now, although I haven't been able to put but a couple of miles on it at these speeds so far. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Unfortunately, I still have the vibration in the steering wheel around 45mph. It seems slightly better, but is definitely still there! I am ready to go Chappy's route and get rid of this thing.....
  4. Well, hopefully I will have some good news and updates for everyone later today! My truck is in for the 3rd time right now. 1st 2 times at one dealer and now the 3rd time at a second dealer. I was sent to the second dealer after opening a case with GM. After 10 days at the dealer being worked on, I just got the call that it is ready and that they have it smooth as glass! They stated the GM engineer had been their all day yesterday and that they replaced the entire drive line. I am scared to get too excited, but man I hope they have it fixed! Wish me luck!!!
  5. That's a 2500, so those would be 8 lug instead of 6 lug wheels. Wouldn't fit. They could have pulled them off of a '15 Tahoe or Suburban however.
  6. It is a joke that this new improved technology is by far worse than what was in the previous models, not to mention what else is out there in other manufacturers! I took a 3 hour trip this past weekend and it told me it was going to take me almost 5 hours! I had already pulled the directions from google maps, which had 3 hours listed and the actual drive was within minutes of 3 hours! Glad I wasted $795!!
  7. And it has been over 24 hours and the second dealer still has not contacted me, although I was told they would be calling me to arrange the appointment!
  8. This is all just crazy! I can't believe the number of issues and all of the run around from GM and the dealerships! I have taken mine in twice now for the vibration around 45, which is real bad in the steering wheel, as well as over 72 or so, which is felt in the seat and seems to come from the rear of the truck. First time they balanced tires, which helped slightly on the higher speed vibrations, but seemed to worsen the 45mph vibration! Second trip they road force balanced and it didn't change a thing. 3 were single digits and 1 was 13, so none were bad at all. The service manager drove 2 other trucks, 1 with me and they all had similar vibrations, so her conclusion was the tires caused it and it's normal! I could tell they weren't going to do anything else, so I contacted GM. After 1 week, I still had not received the call back I was promised so I called back and left a VM to which my assigned rep called me back within 24hrs. They now are sending me to a different dealer for another opinion. I've always had GM vehicles and I so want to love this truck, however I am really starting to wish I would have looked more seriously at the Dodge or Ford or Toyota!! Ugh!!!!!!
  9. I have noticed this on mine as well. It hasn't been off as much as yours, but definitely off! I had the GM factory nav in a '07, '08, and '10 and it was always very accurate....
  10. And I have a 2014 Silverado LT crew cab short bed, 4wd as a loaner right now. It has 7,500 miles on it and of course it drives perfect!!
  11. I've been reading up on this forum for a couple months now and figured I would go ahead and join and add one more problem truck to the list! I purchased a new 2014 Sierra SLT crew cab short bed, 4wd w/ Z71. I have had it for 2 months today and it is at the dealer for the 2nd time already for the same issue! Terrible vibration around 45mph and more vibrating over 72 or so. I noticed it with 9 miles on the truck on the drive home from the dealership. Even though I had been searching this forum for several weeks prior to purchasing the truck I didn't pay super close attention to this area of the forum. Heck, I have had over a dozen GM vehicles and no real issues at all. I told myself it must be because I don't have a tonneau cover on yet, right? Or not! I am so frustrated right now and I don't have much hope things will get fixed soon if ever! And of course I have the seat issue as well! Ugh!
