So I finally got around to swapping out my 921 reverse bulbs with modified 894s. They are 3 times as bright as the 921s. No issues as far as I can tell. The 894s do get warm, but I figure I won't ever be in reverse long enough to ever be an issue.

That is the kind of instruction this thread has been lacking! Now if only someone could post a similar post for adding projectors to a non projector Silverado, we'd be in business!

I know for a fact that the cameras on the traverses have higher resolutions than the garbage they outfitted in the full size trucks. If there were a way to plug one of those cameras into the wiring of ours and see if the resolution improved... Who supplies rear view cameras to auto manufacturers? There has to be a way to retrofit a better one into the tailgate handle...

It's just a personal preference. If you think the chrome accents look choice, by all means get the chrome. There is no right or wrong answer.

You drove it off the lot with orange peel. They will laugh in your face if you ask them to fix it. I'm pretty sure most factory paint jobs exhibit orange peel in areas...
