  1. Nice cars, my wife and I are looking for a new car for her and those are on the top of our list.
  2. So apparently amplifying your speakers also amplifies the turn signals and door chimes. As if the chimes weren't already loud enough!
  3. Glamis is the best. You guys are making me want to ride. My yz450 has been neglected lately.
  4. UPDATE: Truck was dropped off when they opened this morning. Just received a call saying they ordered a new headliner but it will not be in for a few days. They also said the truck will need to be sent to the body shop to get the third brake light to seal correctly. I don't like the sound of that but it is what it is I guess. Sounds like they are going to do some bondo work perhaps? Anything I should specifically look for when I pick it up?
  5. Taking it to the dealer in the morning. I already have a mildew like smell as it has been close to 100 here today. Question is would you guys demand to have the headliner replaced? Hate to have them replace something like that being so new but dont want to get stuck with mold and/or rust down the line. Was thinking of having them replace the light and document the headliner in case there are issues later on. What would you do? Sucks I spent half my day detailing and now I got to take her in.
  6. Yep it was the third break light. Bbout a half inch gap between the light and the cab with no seal in between. The assembly is filled with water. Not something I really want to fill with silicone either as it looks like some would get inside the housing. So the question is now do I need the headliner replaced? Im worried about mold in the future. Or can I dry it out with the windows down, maybe a blow dryer?
  7. So I have had my truck for barely two weeks now and took it to the carwash today only to find my back seat and headliner soaked. It looks like its coming from where the top of the rear window meets the roof. The truck is a 2014 Silverado LT with a solid rear window. Any one else had this issue? Is it a common problem with these trucks? Kind of crummy to have an issue this big after only owning the vehicle this long.
  8. Okay that's what I thought and was hoping. For the adjustment can I just reverse and hit the brakes or do I need to manually adjust it? Will do. I just picked up the truck 500 miles ago so I am still learning the nuances. Thank you The only time I have ever made a mistake was the time I thought I had made a mistake. I was mistaken. Oh and I fixed your post for you I am thinking there is not much to fix and I just prematurely wore down the shoes. When I get some time I will pop the drum off and take a look. Thanks for the input fellas.
  9. So the other day I made a rookie mistake and drove almost 5 miles with the parking brake on! Speeds up to 55mph. I could not figure out why the truck was shaking and even pulled over thinking I had a flat tire. The strange thing is there was no light on the dash indicating it was engaged nor was there a chime to alert me. The owners manual states there should be one on all models. My question is how bad did I screw up the rear brakes? I know its hard to say without taking a look at them. Also I cannot find anywhere if the parking brake is a drum and shoe set up on the 1500 separate from the rear caliper or if the cable simply engages the rear pads. Do you think it could have gotten hot enough to crack the drum or crumble the pads? Also I bought the truck used. Should I take the truck to the dealer and see why there was no warning. I just hate to admit to the dealer what happened. Truck has 12500 miles on it. Thank you in advance.
