  1. Well I have an update here, I did finally pull the trigger and got the TRS kit for my 2104 SLE Sierra. 35w ballasts and 4300k lamps with the capacitor link and relay harness. All in all the install went well took me about 2 hours. I am very happy with the improvement. It is not perfect like a couple guys that have done the more in depth projector mod as well, but at least it is driveable at night now. I have a good light pattern and did not have to change any aiming from the factory settings. I do however have what seems to be the common radio interference, and it drives me nuts. i do not have satellite and won't pay the extra for it. There has got to be a way to fix this. I have installed the ferrite cores on the power out wires from the ballast and it did nothing. i also unplugged power each ballast seperatley to see it it was one or the the other ( they both have the same effect) on the radio. I have followed this post since June when i got my truck and have ready most of it multiple times. I am trying some of the many suggestions that some people have tried, but if anyone has a sure fire thing that worked with them on this issue i would appreciate the update. If i figure anything out i will be certain to post up and update. Regard an Thank you in advaance,
  2. Thanks for all information everyone, I too am a 2014 Sierra owner and also very very disappointed in the performance of the headlights. I have always for the most part been a GM guy through and through even for my wife's and my work vehicles. It is a sad day when you have to feel like you should test drive a vehicle at night to check the headlight performance. I had my truck with 3000 miles on in at the dealerships service center for recalls, exhaust whistle, theft deterant service code and POOR Headlight performance just the other day. They just about had to throw me out when they said to me "Really this is the first i heard of anyone complaining about headlights" Spurshot i like your final decision the Morimoto kit seems like the way to go. I live in Wisconsin with dark, cold, rainy, fall & winters with many animals and country roads and these headlights just will not cut it. I took the truck only a week old to the Black Hills of South Dakota for a family vacation and it was almost deadly with the hills, curves and animals. My 2003 silverado had way better head lights. Again thanks for the information i will try to post as well when i discover things so others may learn too. Also i just can't let GM get away with this poor engineering and want to do everything to make them fix it. I am posting a complaint with NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) Sad part is my old man was going to buy probably his 3rd and last GMC truck, after he saw mine... that was until he turned on the headlights....
  3. Well it has happened to me as well. Twice in 1 day. (last night) The truck is scheduled for some other work (recalls) and horrible headlight performance at the dealership next week. I mentioned it to them when they called to set up an appointment and they said they would check into it. The first time it happened i had to use the remote start from inside the truck. The next time i had to flip the key 180 degrees and it started. If they/ figure anything out i will update for others to know.
