  1. Been a while, good to be back. Been running a 2015 Cummins for a while and with diesel prices im getting over using it as a daily. I have it in the dealer for service and the tech working on it I have known for some time. He likes the truck and is wanting to trade me his 2011 Silverado 1500 Ext cab LTZ with 88k miles and a whipple added. Anything I need to look for when looking the truck over? How often should the superchargers themselves really be serviced? Any similar setup with real world review? MPG? I know a stupid question relative on your foot to pedal ratio but curious if daily driving is the same better or worse?
  2. Rough Country 2.5" leveling kit with the rear 2" spacer swapped for the stock block spacer. Fuel Maverick 20x9 +1 wrapped in bf goodrich ko2 in a 275/60-20. Love the look overall, the tires look amazing in person. I do still surprisingly slightly rub in reverse only at full lock. Haven't heard it going forward. Again, night and day difference and I love the look of the truck now. Offset is where I wanted it. Stock. To 2013 sierra wheels in the midterm, to the current setup. Seems to ride just a bit bouncier than stock, but nothing bad, I am still on the stock rancho's. In montana the stock chromes where awesome when clean, but hard to keep clean.
  3. No canbus needed on my 2014 sierra, I assume silverado is the same.
  4. Alright friends, hoping all can help, reading these 30 + page threads is eating away my days. I picked up the xenon depot lights for 20 bucks on ebay, they looked great color wise, but the distance of light output was terrible. And they did not seem very bright, also the 3and9 requirement seemed about impossible, when you put them in they are at 3 and 9 before you turn them at all, I was extremely disapointed with them, and the 2 side led just looks bad, lots of dead light area. They were so bad I actually put the dealer installed tsb bulbs back in. I was ready to pull the trigger on the Philips 9012 HIR2 Standard Halogen Headlight Bulb before seeing this thread. After reading this I am really curious about the starnill bulbs. I love how they have led's on 3 sides. I am concerned over the install a bit. Hoping you guys can answer a few questions, I have a 2014 sierra, did you guys use the 9005 or 9006? Would you say the length of light is as good as the oem bulbs, and hopefully better? I drive a lot of night with lots of wildlife on the roads. I also have led foglights and would like the headlight color to match better. Thanks in advance, I think what it really comes down to is that guys want the best bulb for the money, without having to deal with hid's. Are these starnill bulbs the best out there? Or should I go with the philips hir and wait for further developments in the led headlights?
  5. I continue to get impressive drains out of this. In the summer it just looks like used oil, in winter or with e85 I get much more of what this video looks like. Expensive yes, however worth the peace of mind to me. It is amazing how much gets caught, and 2 fold with the direct injection motors they get dirty quicker anyways. My rx can has never failed me whatsoever and still looks like new. The design may be simple, but I have tried ebay cans and get nothing close to what this does.
  6. I use mine all the time, the dogs love it and I also use a vaporizer and on the interstate with the window all the way open you can hardly tell.
  7. My father in law has his 2014 silverado 1500 z71 5.3l over 140k miles, he works in the bakken and drives all day every day. Hasn't even had to change a light bulb, but he never serviced his transmission once and now it is slipping, so he will be trading in. He usually does every 2 years and only gets chevys. He changed the fluid and added lucas and it has stopped slipping, but he still wants to trade, other than that nothing but oil changes and he beats on it 7 days a week on gravel and dirt roads. Makes me more comfortable driving my gmc and taking care of it.
  8. ^^^ Hopefully they are paying attention. The issues becomes for me when you pay this much for a vehicle, you expect the best and expectations are higher than any other vehicle I have purchased. So far my dealer has been wonderful with everything, so I am really hoping they can get this resolved, its more of a nuisance than anything having to take time to go to the dealer with an insanely busy schedule.
  9. Dropped my truck off tonight as the passenger seat intermittently was working, and now completely is not working at all. They told me that modules? are what is the fault but they need to remove the seat to find which one is at fault. They did give me a loaner truck and as the dealer is quite a ways from me I hope they can get it fixed without multiple trips waiting for parts etc. Hopefully they can get it figured out, obviously at 9 pages this seems to be a fairly common issue.
  10. Before the snow fell, there isn't any car washes even open now, its killing me!
  11. Yes I dont need the drain tube either. And I assume they send everything as a package regardless of application...so the extras are included for different cars.
