  1. You stiffen due to limiting the available travel due to spring tension, as you tighten the spring, coils start on the top and bottom of the spring lay on each other, forcing the center of the spring to due the work, same tension, just less compliance.?.
  2. Very nice work, looks great. I've used the plasti dip on badges and other small areas with much success, like lots of other people. I Was looking to black an alum Camlocker toolbox. I remember reading several people saying they thought it wouldn't work. I see lots of bumpers, smooth metal that gets hit frequently by debris. The dip obviously holds up well. I am not rough on the toolbox. Thoughts? Would it work or not?
  3. Good to hear it's fixed, at least a problem was identified, and corrected.
  4. I'm playing with the psi, I'm up to 42 cold, stiffer but handles better.
  5. I purchased a set of BF's and they handle much better, but it didn't cure my 43-48mph vibe.I have programmed afm off, balanced tires, replaced tires, checked the backlash on the ring gear(in spec), and nothing has fixed it. It's not bad, and I have chosen to live with it for now, or until a cure is found or acknowledged. I'm not gonna let the dealer throw parts at what is obviously a variable issue between trucks, and the service dept have no idea what to do other than what a bulletin tells them to....trained monkeys for the most part. So few mechanics left these days.
  6. If you can get a diablo intune for a good price, it's a very good tuner for the $. You can get custom tunes built also. Lots of people love the bbt and there is lots of positive reviews and info about them. I would have went that route, but cheaped out and saved around $325.
  7. Same situation here also, never bad vibes but more noticeable at times than others.
  8. This seems to be happening in several threads, usually due to unneeded rhetoric about "my other non gm truck", best thing you will ever do. Everyone is entitled to opinions, but there opinion is not needed in every thread, or post. (Mods) I realize I am currently jacking this thread, but really If this offends anyone in-particular, and you wish to post about your other truck and why it's so great, please do, in a thread dedicated to you and your truck, or another non gm forum. Hopefully back to topics, and I apologize.
  9. Mine are 285/65r18, fit fine, no rub or issue. These are alittle louder, but seem to be a better rubber, handle great, and should be alittle better offroad.
  10. Just put a set on mine, ride stiffer but handle well, balanced well. Got a slight roar, but not bad at all.
