  1. Definitely aware splicing would not work. More than likely will try to get my hands on some of the cable and connectors and do a test run before cutting into the camera cable!
  2. So i have a bit of a different situation. I tow a large boat. Tri-Axle trailer, approximately 45' in length. I want to place the camera on the rear of my boat, make some kind of mount but want to make the camera removable for when I back it into the water as to not get the camera wet, also to be able to remove the camera so no ones steals it as it won't be as permanently mounted as on a large fifth wheel horse or rv type trailer. I was thinking of trying to find a way to put in a connector in which I could unplug to remove the camera. Any thoughts?
  3. What page is the hose clamp fix on? Are there detailed instructions. I am having the same problem with my seat. Scheduled to go in Monday to be looked at. Thanks Dave
  4. There is still talk that you need to have the dealer program something to let the computer know it has this option. I am calling the dealer to ask before I start cutting into the harness. Of course very easily you could take the amber LED signal and just connect to the parking lights as well as the clear LED's and connect that to the reverse lights.
  5. The amber lamps only illuminate currently when you unlock your vehicle and the old puddle lights would have been on. The turn signal in the glass is functioning like my old ones. These have the amber lights and the Red LEDs in the glass. Also for anyone that needs part #'s. This is right off the GM box it came in 23241465 and 23241467.
  6. Here's some pics. The one picture with the Led lights lit up is when i press the unlock key on my keyfob. The orange leds appear to be taking place of the puddle lights from the other mirrors. I am hoping the dealer can reprogram and get them to turn on with the headlights / parking lights. Dave
  7. I got my mirrors yesterday and I installed them today. It was relatively painless. Took me longer to put the door panel back on then anything else. Second door went twice as fast. So far mine are functioning with the exception of the LED lights that are supposed to turn on when you go into reverse. I was wondering if anyone tried hooking a trailer up and then putting into reverse, maybe they only function when it knows there is a trailer hooked up? Just a thought.
  8. Darn. Well I will have to wait until then, they are much nicer than the old aftermarket ones. Thanks. Dave
  9. I ordered the below part #'s from GMOutletparts.com 22960566 F-MIRROR 22960565 F-MIRROR I got the following email back from them "OK...THESE ARE ON BACKORDER FROM GM WITH NO ETA. DO YOU STILL WANT THEM?" does anyone have anywhere else that has them in stock or not on backorder? Thanks, Dave
