  1. Traded into my infinit today. Much happier and its a way nicer vehicle than anything gm produces. Should have just done this in the first place. Good luck to the rest of you on getting this solved or finding a out. Jon
  2. well heres a quick update on mine. the service manger said he feels like he has done everything in power to fix it with no avail. the dealership it self won't just buy it back, I'd have to start the process with gm for that. Instead the dealership is going to find me a used low mile infiniti qx56/qx80 and I'll pay the difference they will then just unwind the tahoe purchase part of my deal. told them to do that so I don't have to fight gm and wait even longer to get a different vehicle. good thing is i'm still in my loaner vehicle and plan on keeping it until they find me a infiniti
  3. Well the dealership called yesterday and said that the Tahoe was done. We went and drove it today and it still has the problem. Service manager rode with us. We barely left the lot and told him it was still doing it. He is supposed to have a meeting with the higher ups tomorrow about what they are going to do. He feels that from a service side they have done everything they can. Hoping and praying for a buy back.
  4. Mine has been in the shop for a month straight come monday. They have no idea how to fix this and just keep throwing stuff at it. My headliner has been in and out probably four times. My advice to you is that you just return the vehicle and unwind your deal with the dealership. Knowing this issue exists and there isn't a good fix for it, I wouldn't buy another one for fear that it would develop it at some point.
  5. Went to the dealership this morning. They put the tires on it and told me the noise was taken care of except for maybe a rear end noise that they have already ordered parts for. I don't think there is anything wrong with the rear end let alone it solving the pressure problems. So anyways I drive it with the tires on it and guess what it still does it. Surprise surprise. Talked to the gm again and he supposed to drive it with the owner of the dealership. The GM service rep just happened to be there today as well. The service manager told her what was going on with the Tahoe. She told me she would be following up on the case. Seriously considering looking into a attorney and starting the lemon law process.
  6. Well the engineer thinks is the tires having to much road force. I can't tell you how wrong I think this is. They ordered 6 tires and are going to try that. To top it off my tahoe got hailed on sitting at the dealership. This put me over the top. Went and had words the gm and he was supposed to talk to the owner about buying my tahoe back. When asked what they would do if the tires didn't fix it the service manger said they would just keep chasing the problem. Asked what kind of time frame they had for this. Didn't have an amswer. Do not like my car being a guinea pig for a problem that never should have existed. Am already trying to determine what the replacement vehicle will be. Won't be anything made by GM for sure.
  7. Quick update on mine. The field engineer is supposed to be here tomorrow. The service manager told me that he told him that he knew how to fix it. Guess we'll find out something in the next few days hopefully.
  8. The dealership I bought my Tahoe from is Joe Self Chevrolet Cadillac. Phone number is 3167120611 the service managers name js Nick. They have now had my Tahoe for almost two weeks this time. The field engineer still isn't here to look at it. We will be checking into the lemon law for kansas.
  9. Jason could you please tell me what dealership has your truck? Want to be able to give that info to the field engineer that's supposed to be coming to look at mine. See if maybe it saves some time so they aren't repeating the same things.
  10. Well heard from the dealership today. They are bringing in a field engineer to look at it. Doesn't sound promising since some of you are having the same thing done with no answers still.
  11. So here's an update on mine. Went to the dealer yesterday after talking to the service manager. He said he had drove it home the night before and didn't hear anything or feel anything wrong. So when I went up there my new car manager brother in law that sold me the tahoe drove it again and took one of his sales guys with him. Met them in service to talk. My brother in law couldn't feel it either, but thankfully the sales guy did. Service manger acknowledged there was still a problem but wasn't sure what to do about it. Said they would talk to gm tech line and see if they had any other answers and get back with me. Yesterday afternoon I talked to him again and he said he talked to the tech line and that they asked him if he had compared it to another tahoe and if it was doing it also. He said yes he had and that it was doing the same thing. They told him that if both were doing it to consider it normal operation. He told me that even though they said that he knew it wasn't right. He said he'd know more tomorrow (which is today) and that if a gm engineer was going to come look at it or if they were going to start buy back paper work. Hoping i just get bought out so tired of this.
  12. I can still hear it. Called the dealership and its going back in on Monday morning.
  13. We got ours back yesterday from them doing the roof. Wife picked it up last night and said that it didn't hurt her ears on the way home. I drove it some this morning and at highway speeds I think its still present but not as bad as it was. I will say that both of our ears are off since we are both suffering from bad head colds. Will be reevaluating this when our sinuses clear up.
  14. Luvgmc what did you ha have to do to get them to buy it back? At this point I'm not crazy about owning a brand new vehicle that the roof skin has been pulled off of. Are they telling you what has been fixed to ensure that newer ones won't do this?
