Sunglasses Holder

Did anyone read the manual, that is a overhead condom holder not a eyeglass holder. -
6.2L Active Noise Cancellation

Nice, mine has the same rpo as yours I understand why they call it the long distance as the truck just begs to be driven on road trips. -

6.2L Active Noise Cancellation
high country replied to CounterMeasure's topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & Sierra
I maybe wrong but I don't think the ANC works on any noises except those made by the engine. The main components of the Active Noise Cancellation system are: 3 microphones in the vehicle headliner. A discrete engine speed (RPM) signal from the engine control module to the amplifier Active Noise Cancellation electronics and software integrated into the audio amplifier The vehicle speaker system, connected to the amplifier, to output the desired cancellation frequencies The Active Noise Cancellation system is operational under the following conditions: The amplifier has passed all self diagnostic checks All doors are closed Battery voltage is between 9.5 V and 16 V The vehicle cabin temperature is less than 140°F (60°C) Engine speed is between 550 and 3000 RPM The Active Noise Cancellation system is a method used to reduce the perception of certain undesirable sounds generated by the engine into the vehicle cabin. The systems uses microphone and engine speed signals, software integrated into the amplifier, and the vehicle speakers to determine and generate the correct frequencies needed to achieve the desired reduction. Three microphones are located in the headliner to monitor noise/sounds in the vehicle cabin, and are directly connected to the amplifier. The amplifier also receives a discrete engine speed (RPM) signal from the engine control module. The amplifier processes these inputs to determine the frequency of the undesirable sound. The amplifier then calculates the appropriate cancellation frequency and outputs a cancellation signal (audio tone) to the vehicle speakers to reduce the perception of undesirable sounds by the vehicle occupants so the vehicle cabin appears quieter and without vibration. -
Won't the sides of the truck get destroyed with rock chips with the tires and wheels sticking out 6 or more inches? When I see trucks set up like this I always think show truck.

All depends on what you see as level, but I am in your camp I have never had to do 3.25 for a level job, ever.

What type gas do you use? 87? 89? 92?
high country replied to goblue4016's topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & Sierra
This has me confused, can you explain why it would run cooler? -

The 5.3 can get by with 87 but I bet it will show better numbers with 89 over the long run, the 6.2 with approximately 11.5:1 compression needs the good stuff, 93 octane is all my truck sees. -

Anyone running the rough country 3.5" lift?
high country replied to Bigmoore's topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & Sierra
Yes I agree with 32's a 4 inch lift isn't going to be needed, I would do a 1.75 to 2 inch level and call it a day. Bilstiens 5100 adjustables would be your best bet. -

OK with 7 inches of room I would go with the BDS 4 inch. -

Then I would just do a 2 inch level if you want to get it in the garage, don't forget when you do the lift then you add taller tires and they will increase the trucks height too. Think total package if the garage door is 7 foot. Another item to think long and hard about is with most lift kits you have to do some cutting, going back to stock is often impossible or very very expensive. -

My opinion is the Fabtech and BDS are some of the best, but here is what I normally suggest to people, before doing any mod or buying anything that costs more than a hundred dollars is spend a week or two doing research on the subject. Visit multiple forums and search that subject, read online reviews, even then you need to remember that people will rag on a product they don't own and brag about one they do own, human nature as everyone wants to feel good about their purchase. After the brand the next big question is how high do I want to go, look at galleries online find out or decide how you want your truck to look. Then don't settle, if what you want is out of your price range today then keep saving , don't settle for a cheaper lift that will not satisfy you and end up costing more money in the long run. Good luck with your project and remember it is supposed to be fun not a aggravation. -

BS the lower ball joints and tie rods are at extreme angles because they are not addressed with the 3.5 kit even if you do the UCAs junk junk junk. -
