  1. Let's all get along. Arguing just divides us. We don't need that.
  2. I've tried that numerous times. It still shakes. All these violent shakes have taken a toll on my truck as it creaks and rattles everywhere now.
  3. I've been fighting for almost two years and still nothing has been fixed. Here is my video you naysayers.
  4. Here are my results. I've been fighting for a year now and I've still gotten no where. This last time I finally got a pico test done, but I can't decipher it. If anything my vibration is now worse after they repositioned my cab.
  5. Here is my update: So I've had my truck into service 4 times now. 1. Checked tire - Goodyear right rear tire was bad. Replaced - Shake continued 2. Brought it again - Roadforce balanced - Shake continued 3. Brought it in again - Brand new Michelin's put on. Shake continues SO WTF?!?! Does someone not know how to balance these tires? At this point I am furious and wrote a letter to that lady at GM. Of course she didn't do anything but send the letter to a GM Customer Service Rep. This rep Bridgett has been of no help. Actually she has been straight up ignorant and irritating. So while speaking to her I ask that she find me another dealership to work with as this one that I bought the vehicle from (while the Service Manager seems to care) obviously don't even know how to take care of the recalls of their vehicles on their lot before we buy them. Yep that's right. This GM Customer Service Rep said that there are two recalls on my truck that STILL haven't been addressed that have been out since June. I bought this truck Beginning of SEPTEMBER!!!! Am I upset? Yeah. The time it took to drive to this dealership (45 minutes one way) numerous times and then find out that I need to send it back in AGAIN? Yeah. I'm furious. Did I say that already? But getting back to Bridgett and this latest debacle, I requested that she set me up with a dealership that is closer to my house. Alright. There is just one 6 miles away. This can't be too hard right? Nope! I get a call from the dealership and all they said they would do is check the tires. WTF? AGAIN? I was livid. While stuck in a traffic jam 2 hours from my house I explain to this new Service Manager what I have already done and that if he was going to waste my time by just kicking the tires, then for him to not even bother. He asked me what I wanted him to do. (Ok, maybe he is willing to actually do something or at least act like he cares). I told him to check the backlash like others here suggested. I asked him to do the EVA, check the axles, check the driveshaft. So he says sure, I can do that. Great. So we planned on two Wednesday's ago per our conversation on Tuesday October 28th. I get a phone call from Bridgett 10 minutes later and she says, "Great news, I spoke with ..... at the dealership and he said that you have an appointment NEXT WEDNESDAY". I was like what? I just spoke to him and he said tomorrow provided he can find me a truck so that I can work out of. She paused and said, well your appointment is going to be with him. Its going to be in Louisville. I said, well that's news to me and I know nothing about it as I haven't received any phone calls from that other dealership. This is where is gets really maddening. I call back to the dealership I just got off the phone with and he says he knows nothing about the Louisville appointment. So Wednesday the 28th of Oct rolls around and I hear nothing from either place. Thursday I hear nothing again. Friday I call both the Service manager and Left a message. I then called Bridgett and left a message. Heard nothing again. Monday I call Bridgett and left a message. Tuesday I left another message with Bridgett asking where I was supposed to take the vehicle Wednesday. I decide to drive to the local dealership and "get my oil changed" so that I can speak with the Service Manager. I walk in, and approach him. He says I got a phone call from Bridgett and she said you were going to take it to Louisville and that you have an appointment at 9AM. I was like eh no. He looked baffled. So he said, I'll figure what's going on and get back to you Wednesday at 10am. (one hour after the appointment). So Wednesday rolls around and 10 AM comes and I get a phone call from him. He said for me to bring it in to him Thursday. He said that GM has definitely dropped the ball on this and that he would do his best to figure out what's wrong with the truck. So he put me in a Enterprise Rent a Car 2015 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab LT (identical to mine except its a 2015 and it has 17" wheels). Sweet. So now I can see if it drives the same way. NOPE. DRIVES LIKE A DREAM!!! I took it up to 85 miles per hour and smooth as silk! The transmission seems so much more refined than mine. No vibration in peddle like there is in mine. The shifts are so much smoother. So with a big smile I called the Service Manager to tell him the great news about how well the 2015 drives. So there has to be something wrong with mine right? So I get a phone call Friday at 5pm and the Service Manager says, Great news, yours is all fixed. There was nothing wrong with your backlash, nothing wrong with your axles, nothing wrong with your drive shaft, but we found your tires were grossly unbalanced. He said that the tech took it for a test drive up to 80mph and it was smooth as could be. But he would like to keep it until Tuesday so that they could continue to test drive it and make sure that the vibration doesn't come back. And while he had it he would like to do the two recalls that the previous service manager failed to do. So am I getting just a bunch of hot smoke blown in my face or do you think he really fixed it? If its not fixed, I'm taking it back to the first dealership and forcing them to do a buy back. Well, I'll plead with them. LOL
  6. How is it that I'm lucky? How do I get out of this? By dying?
  7. So how do you convince a service manager to look at something like the rear diff when they insist its just a normal characteristic of this truck.
  8. My bed was on crooked. I had to have it realigned, but now the bumper (because its not adjustable) is not centered on the rear of the bed. LOL. All I can do is laugh as I'm seriously going mental and mad regarding this truck.
  9. Here is my update. I have been to the dealer that I purchased my 2014 Silverado Crew Cab LT 4x4 5.3 FOUR times now. First time, they replaced one tire. Second time, they road forced balanced my tires AGAIN. 3rd time I took the Service Manager for a ride. 4th time was to get all new tires. They put on Michelin tires this time. 265/65/18's. I still have the shake, however the speed at which it comes has moved now. It used to come around 72 mph. Now I can feel it intermittently starting around 45mph all the way past 80mph. Two weeks ago I wrote a letter to the head honcho of GM and I guess she just forwarded my letter to a rep. This rep called Monday and asked for my VIN #. I asked her that before I give it to her, would she tell me whether or not she has heard of this problem and she said yes. I was like, great, Maybe I'll get somewhere with her then. I also said that I heard that once we give our VIN #'s to GM that we would basically be blackballed from all dealerships regarding this problem. She said she never heard of that and that she would do her best to ensure that this would be taken care of. She looked up my VIN# and said that there was a recall on my vehicle for a shudder in my tranny and also wanted to make sure that I understood that my Service Manager had not reported any of these problems to them, nor has he been in contact with GM. She said he also has not performed the recall that dates back to June. Today she called back. This time, she had informed me that the call was being recorded. Her demeanor had totally changed. CRAPPPPPPPPP! I knew I was doomed. She said that she contacted a closer dealership and that the service manager of that dealership would be in contact with me. She also told that service manager what my previous service manager had performed. He told her that those would of been the steps that he would of done. After she was done talking to me, I got a phone call from this new service manager. Right off the bat, he wanted to tell me that this shaking was a normal characteristic of a Silverado. That got my blood boiling as I thought that I might actually have an advocate on my side. I told him that if I was to come into his dealership it would be to get this fixed. If he was going to just look at the tires and nothing else, that he would be wasting my time. His attitude got worse and said for me not to come in as he would be just wasting my time. Now where do I go? I've had this truck for a little over a month and have racked up 5600 miles. Good lord I drive a lot. I feel like my truck is struggling to stay at a constant speed now and I'm getting this whurrrring sound coming out of the drive train that comes and goes about every 2 seconds.
  10. Yes, but that doesn't show if its the axle or the rims or the tires.
  11. So I saw a video where a guy jacked up the rear end, took the rear wheels off and then took a hydraulic lift and raised the arm up so that it barely touched the hub. Then they started the engine and put it into drive. You could clearly see the wobble in the axle and as it made a full revolution, it would come into contact with the arm of the hydraulic jack. It showed that the axles are the problem. I'm tempted to do this same thing. Obviously the Chevy/GM dealership aren't going to fight for something for us, so maybe we need to show these videos to our GM Service Managers?
  12. No, those on this board and the duramaxforum.com board are telling me to get it done as it has eliminated all their vibration woes.
  13. They're not having the problem just with the 14 or 15's. They're having them with the 12, and 13's as well. I'm starting to believe its the box frame for higher towing capacity. And its not really a problem per se. Its that the tolerances are so tight that any and I mean ANY imperfection in the tires will give us this 70+mph vibration. I'm getting told to go get my tires trued and balanced on the truck. A few guys that had my exact vibration did this and theirs went away completely. Now, every time they get new tires, they will need to do it all over again. This still doesn't explain why some that own this truck don't have any problems. I'm going to TRY and locate a place that does this style of balancing and truing. I'll let you know.
  14. Why are you copy and pasting your post over and over again? I've read this exact comment from you twice now. Can we all ask why?
