  1. I had my pump replaced through an extended warranty plan in February when it went out. I almost drove through my garage wall when the pump decided to shit the bed.
  2. Had a Diablo on order when my lifter went bad. Got truck back yesterday evening and immediately installed a tune disabling the AFM. Just having that off, I noticed a big difference in the drive-ability of the truck today in the short time Ive had behind the wheel. Its so nice to mash the gas peddle and have it respond right away and not flutter for a second while it switched out of 4cly and down shifts.
  3. Dealer called yesterday and they replaced the 3 way cat under the 100,000 warranty repair with the lifter. Said the Cat was full of fuel.
  4. Last week I dropped off my truck to the dealership for a horrible misfire. It was determined that cylinder #4 lifter had failed. All lifters were replaced on the passenger side and truck was ready to go Friday. Saturday morning the check engine light comes on but truck seemingly is running fine. Mind you, I live about 10 miles from the dealership. I checked the code and its P0430. Catalyst System Efficiency below Threshold, Bank 2. Now, bank 2 is the side the collapsed lifter was on. My question is, should this be covered under the warranty work that covered the Lifter replacement? I would believe the O2 Sensor and/or Catalytic Converter failed due to the lifter going out on that side. I'm just looking for opinions here as I wait the phone call from the dealer. I fully expect them to say this repair is on my dime.
  5. Man screw this AFM bullshit!!! I am currently waiting my truck to be fixed due to two stuck lifters from it. I am on here as we speak to research the best way to turn this "feature" OFF! I do about 90% city driving and on my daily commute, Id bet the AFM is on majority of the time. I bought a V8 for a reason. I shouldn't have to give a little gas, then wait for the computer to make its mind up before I get all 8 cylinders firing as I need more power on my daily drive. I get this has its purpose, but in the city it seems to constantly keep this truck guessing and therefore making for a terrible driving experience. Sorry for my rant. I have the red ass still this morning and my coffee has not kicked in yet.
  6. E brake is the last thing going through my mind as Im pulling in my parking spot with my foot on the break peddle when all of a sudden the peddle wont move.
  7. Got my truck back in 1 day from the dealership.... I had two issues in regards to the AC system. The condenser was leaking as were one of the lines I had replaced 11 months ago. Service department installed the condenser with the foil, part number # 84496856, and both lines running from compressor to the condenser.
  8. Add me to the repeat costumer list on this AC issue. Almost 1 year to the day mine stopped blowing cold. Well, this morning it happened again...... At this point, Id welcome the shinny tin foil condenser to my grill if it works.
  9. Yep, like the two before me stated, its the vacuum pump. Just replaced mine with the lines last month. Mine went out pulling into the driveway. Good thing the 4wheeler was in front to stop me or I would have gone through the garage wall. Thanks GM!
  10. Its flat and hot here in Louisiana and I tow a 22' Boat from time to time. So im not looking for something extravagant here. I just dont want to sound like the school bus when I stop. I have watched a couple youtube videos and this process seems as straight forward as its been with previous vehicles. You just never know sometimes with these newer vehicles. Case in point, you have to remove half the engine it seems just to get the battery out.
  11. Ok, so I am toying with doing this myself. Pads on the front are about 1/4" of pad left. Is there anything on these trucks that is different from others in years past? Ill get the speed bleeders to make things easier but other than that, anything special? Also, any brand of pads n rotors that most here prefer over others out there? OEM VS other aftermarket? Thanks
  12. What am I missing here? Why was yours not covered when you are under the mileage they specified?
  13. good to know that Gm has finally caught up on production of these as summer is right around the corner.
  14. That info came from someone I do business with that said he was waiting on the back ordered part. I assumed he was being honest and never followed up.
  15. This model truck has two major flaws in the cooling system. One being the condenser and the other is the high pressure lines cracking in the bends. I got lucky *knocks on wood* and had the hoses replaced along with a bracket under warranty when mine started blowing hot in July. If your is the condenser, well, get in line. This part was still on a national back order as of a month and a half ago. Fixed on your dime too if your warranty is out......Thanks GM.
