  1. The low beam is about half of the overall beam. The shutter chops off the top. The idea in a projector is to do exactly what you are not liking (concentrate light in front of the vehicle) so as to avoid blinding oncoming drivers. You would be amazed how much improvement you will get by simply bringing up the angle of the light a touch off the road and in front of the vehicle. Be careful as even with the stock bulbs people will get annoyed. Ideally as a driver I would want the light to be basically straight out of the bulb, however to appease the fellow drivers maybe a 20% down angle is best (the patch of light on the road extends maybe 100-150 feet)
  2. Installed the kit about 2 weeks ago and there have been issues. Firstly (and not a big deal) but the capacitor in the Morimoto harness needed to be flipped to stop the buzzing relay. Then 2 days later I blew a fuse. Then last night I started the truck and the fuse went again, I replaced the fuse and it blew again. I drove home with my led fog lamps... Not very happy but more than anything not very confident with the HID and ballast option the aftermarket setup offers. About an hour ago purchased LED bulbs from VLED which claim to be good for projectors: http://www.vleds.com/9006-vx3.html They will be here this week. 3000lm rating... Will post some pictures
  3. 35w 9006 moritomo Kit 5500 hue. Vleds 5000 fogs This all seems to match well and the light is awesome
  4. Thanks. I was researching for like 3 days non-stop and pretty much gave up. Ordered a HID retrofit kit from TRS and will see how it works with the OE projectors. Maybe do different projectors if unhappy...
  5. Hello all-- First post on the forum. I just read this entire thread from start to finish and wow am I up in arms about the lack of options for the new(er) trucks. I picked up a 2014 1500 All Terrain the other night and want to bump up the lighting. Motomedic, would you mind elaborating a little more on the issue of running LED bulbs with the projectors? My 2015 WRX has this setup and the light is excellent. My 2013 HD FLTRX also had this same setup and the light was outstanding (JL Speaker Lights). I might have found an option for those wanting to go the LED route in something over the 2200lm range but am working on the research now.. Also.. has anyone considered getting OE replacement units from a Denali and testing compatibility?
