  1. No solution found but GM will most likely blame your wheels and tires, not being a party pooper but they are in denial and will find reason to blame non-original parts. Good luck
  2. I have said this before, buy from the dealership who sold the vehicle... The dealer would then take the burden of finding a matched set, if bought outside of their doors they will make you work with the tire store who will just tell you FU
  3. It is over for me also. The truck was nice but the non-ending vibrations and absolute feeling of wanting to drive off a cliff were too much. Funny thing, driving a vehicle that does not vibrate - I will continue to monitor and have saved all my reciepts for repairs / balancing on the silverado in case a class action is filed and these docs are needed.
  4. The Torque Converter was replaced due to some shudder in V4 switching to V6 under light throttle. I was excited hoping that some of the other random vibes were shudder also, they were not. Still vibrating. I took the truck to a Sierra dealership and just sat down with a service analyst.... They have 4 trucks that they are currently working to fix. They are swapping parts out one by one according to GM's direction. Run the PICO, GM analyzes and provides repair options. Wheels, tires, axles, axle housings, transmission, torque converters, driveshafts, front drive shafts ..... all replaced on a customer's vehicle with no solution to the vibrations. Confirmed some 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 have this problem. Confirmed GM has no idea what the problem or a solution is
  5. You may not need an attorney for LL. I have a Malibu as they had to pull the transmission out of my 14 silverado at 55K miles
  6. Have them provide a Truck loaner to replace your truck, do not sign off on the repair until completely satisfied. Use the Lemon Law if available. I did not follow my advice and regret it every day.
  7. The transmission is being pulled by the dealership, I will update with their findings
  8. Well some absolutely great news for my situation. I have been having a shudder (believe torque converter) in V4 with light throttle. A few second shudder then would cycle out for about ten seconds, then repeat the cycle. Always in V4 with light throttle or downhill. It started about 15,000 miles ago but have never been able to catch it during a test drive at my normal service dealership. It used to be once a week on my normal work route and progressively became about a dozen times each way. The tranny fluid is grey but not burnt. Definitely a concern according to local transmission shop... I decided to go to another dealership, closer to where I work to try and get the issue to replicate. With fingers crossed and anxiety at an all time high, I had the Service Manager get in the passenger seat. We got in the truck and headed down the block... The Silverado did not dissappoint me this time, for damn near a block she dropped into V4 and shuddered like hell. His response, "that is not normal". I have an appointment on Monday for them to try to determine what is in fact wrong. There are no CEL on the dash so this will be plug into a computer and get it to happen. In following some other posts on this and other Chevy forums, I am guessing Torque Converter Clutch. I am also hoping that whatever is broken, when fixed, will eliminate the awful resonance I have in the steering wheel.
  9. It sucks, if it cant be resolved push for a buy back
  10. I am wondering if the highway vibes are occuring during "lockup" and is "lockup chatter". If I tap the brakes at 74 mph when I have the vibration, it goes a way for a second but then it seems to come back fairly quickly. Is the TC unlocking and locking up that quickly? I do not believe it to be a tire, because there are good days and bad days, a tire would be all the time. I have 55000 miles and am not throwing codes, will chatter throw a code? What should I push GM to look for to determine if it is chatter / TC failure? Any other symptoms I would experience? My transmission fluid is a pinkish grey about a 50/50 appearance.
  11. I am getting the same thing and I own a 2014 4.3 6speed. I have normal v4 vibes but occasionally get a 1 to 2 second heavy shudder in V4, with light throttle input can turn it on and off almost at will.
  12. The truck went back to tire shop today to reestablish balance, confirmed had some tires a little bit off so we trued them up again. While there, I asked can we get it up on a lift and get all tires rolling at once, we did and nothing looked bad in the driveshaft or wheel assemblies. Drove into work this morning, tire vibration is better but there is still something there.. I am thinking something in torque converter... as soon as you crest a hill and plane out with little throttle input the truck has some "shuddering", full throttle no problems...
