  1. Just noticed something else, when I put truck in reverse I hear clunkkk, when I put truck in drive I hear clunkkk. This happens every single time I put truck in reverse and drive. Something is clearly wrong my truck never did this, anyone else experiencing the same? In my previous post I stated I found excessive play in transmission yoke IMO. I put on over 600 miles a week I have over 17,000 now.
  2. I've had my truck back from the dealer a little over a week from the second repair attempt. This last time all they did was road force balance rear tires. The report says they were both off, this is what they did last time. How can my tires get unbalanced so soon? When I got truck back last week it did ride smooth, I felt the usual tire noise going over rough highway but no vibration in seat at 65-75. I noticed it's getting bad again today to and from work. So, I went under truck feeling around for anything loose. The only thing I could find is that my drive shaft will rotate 1/8 of a turn in both directions in park. I also found that the yoke coming out of transmission has some play, when i grab it will move up and down maybe around 1/8 inch. Can someone that has a truck that don't vibrate check there drive shaft and transmission yoke and let me know if it's the same. This is driving me crazy. Thanks in advance!
  3. Mark , sorry to hear that your dealer won't look at your truck that's total BS! If you read my previous post it explains my first experience with the service manager. I forgot to mention when I picked up my truck a few days ago from being serviced, the truck drove like the day I bought it. What I mean is that the truck was hesitant from a stop and felt like I was towing something. So, my guess is the dealer re-flashed the computer on board, but it wasn't listed in the invoice on the service they did. I immediately recognized this and started to drive truck aggressive from a stop, that hesitation went away after a day of quick take offs. I will find out tomorrow how long of a wait it's going to be, the last time I waited 9 days for an appointment.
  4. Wish I didn't post this, after second day of driving my truck I noticed the vibration has returned. Today I drove down expressway with three co-workers and asked if they felt vibration while driving at highway speeds, they all agreed that they felt a vibration or shake or whatever this problem is being called. I usually drive back roads when I pick them up, but decided to use highway to see what someone else's opinion was. They've been hearing me complaining for the last month about this and now believe me since they experienced it. I also had my wife with me today on highway and she also agrees it's vibrating again. I will be calling dealer again Monday wonder how long the wait will be this time. Very disappointed that GM can't come up with a fix for this. Some have been saying it's tires and suspension. I know what tire and road noise is, this is something that comes and goes. When I was driving home today with wife I was able to get it to vibrate at 67 mph on cruise control for about 2 miles, very noticeable. IMO the transmission is not in sync with engine and or software that GM is running on these trucks, because it happens randomly at different speeds. If it was tires/suspension vibration or shake the problem would be there all the time. If GM is going to tell me this is normal , then I want my money back because the truck didn't do this when I bought it. If I was told that GM trucks vibrate and it's normal I wouldn't of bought this truck.
  5. So I finally get my truck back today after being at dealer for 6 days. First of all I have to say the service manager was very professional and understanding about my concerns. We test drove truck and he agreed there was a vibration, most noticeable 65-75 mph. The first thing they did was road force balance the tires, he test drove it and the vibration was still there but not as noticeable. The GM rep then had them check the ring and pinion which was within tolerance. Upon further inspection they found excessive play in my passenger rear shock, GM rep told them replace all four shocks. They replaced the front shocks and truck was pulling to the right, had an alignment done fixed issue. This is making sense since I felt the vibration more sitting in the passenger seat on the test drive. When I picked up truck service manager asked if I had my tires balanced before, I told him yes that I was trying to rule out a balance issue. He told me they didn't do a very good job they were all off. The place I brought it to didn't do a road force balance they told me that is only needed for older vehicles with worn out suspension systems, not going there again. My vibration is now gone I do not feel it in the seat anymore, my wife doesn't feel it either sitting on passenger side. What I will say is the goodyear SRA tires are junk and can't wait to get some new rubber on there along with Bilsteen shocks. I'm extremely relieved to have had this fixed, and really feel bad for the ones who haven't been so lucky. Good luck to everyone!!
  6. Just got my truck back from dealer so I wasn't able to test this out till today. I got home today set the heat at 77 degrees no auto setting and lowest fan speed set to the floor. I started truck few hours later with remote start it's now 28 degrees outside, after 5 minutes I get in truck nice and toasty. A few things I noticed the fan speed was alot higher than I had left it and the heat was hitting windshield defrost setting not coming from the floor. The seats aren't super hot like they are when I turn them on high, but I believe they are on. When I turn key in ignition to on, my heat settings return to the way I left them 77 degrees low fan, expect rear defrost is on. So I have to say I'm liking everything it does in cold weather so far.
  7. I experienced the same problems you did, here are some things that I observed in my situation. When I plug iphone 5 directly to usb it is usually recognized and every thing works fine. The next time I get in my truck, Bear with me here, I try to connect via bluetooth and Intelllink says the device isn't recognized, I dismiss that, turn on my iphone 5 go to Itunes and start playing songs using Iphone interface and get it to recognize. So, what I've experienced is that the Intelllink recognizes the device the last way you used it. Here is how I figured this out, when I have my phone plugged in via USB then shut truck down, the next time I get in and dont plug phone via USB I get a message saying no media found. On the flipside if I'm streaming music via bluetooth then shut truck down, when I get in truck next day the music picks up right where it left off the day before via bluetooth without me doing anything. Hope this helps.
  8. Thanks for posting going to try this tomorrow morning, i'll report back with results.
  9. This question is for Andraya of GM customer care. Will GM honor my drivetrain warranty after 100,000 miles if I document my issue now with 14000? GM is saying it is normal but we all know something is going to break eventually.
  10. I can tell you right now from experience with my last truck that this vibration is coming from the drivetrain. It's either transmission, driveshaft or differential. I know some will say I'm comparing apples to oranges but my 2005 tacoma started vibrating at highway speeds at 220,000. I did all the work myself started with new tires no change then new clutch, carrier bearing, universal joints problem solved. Only reason I traded it in with 270000 for GMC, needed better tow vehicle also bolts on oil pan, exhaust and valve covers rusted out.
  11. Just checked the trade in value for my truck it's $33000-$36000. I would take a $13000 hit if I decide to trade the truck in thats' including tax tag and title. I really hope my dealer has a fix for when I take it in next week.
  12. Thanks for the replies, maybe 35 degrees wasn't enough to turn the heat on. Will find out soon enough winter is almost here.
  13. I have 14380 miles, I drive 130 miles per day 5 days a week. At first thought it was tires, tire shop balanced and aligned truck same issue. I brought truck to dealer for second oil change and tire rotation two weeks ago. My truck drove smooth up until last week when I noticed vibrations through my seat and console, when I lean my head up against the headrest it is even more noticeable. The vibration is felt more at highway speeds. I have also had the drivetrain clunk happening since about 2000 miles, this happens about 2-3 times a week sometimes more, on the last 10 miles of my commute with stop and go traffic lots of declines, inclines and winding roads.
  14. That's odd mine felt ice cold when I got in. Didn't see heated seat lights on when I got in truck.
  15. Hello everyone new to forum, was wandering if anyone can tell me what the temperature needs to be so my heated seats turn on with remote start. It was 35 degrees last week and my heated seats weren't on when I got in the truck. They are set on Intell link to come on. Vibrations while driving now this, what else is going to go wrong. Thanks!!
