The cap and bottom cover of mt passenger outside mirror came off. I have a 2008 Silverado LTZ, folding mirror, turn signal, heated, and auto dimming. At least I think that is what I have. How can I tell what exactly I do have? Secondly are both the top and bottom covers available without replacing the whole mirror assembly? If I have to replace the assembly what do I look for? What part numbers? I have looked on a number of GM sites and not sure which mirror. It is the smaller non towing mirror. TIA.

I recently had to move a large number of vehicles from one parking area to another. In every case the GM trucks, P/U, Tahoe, Surburban, Denali all had the same cracked dash. Some were worse than others and it covered a bunch of years. But all had the passenger side dash crack or more.

My 08 LTZ cracked in the same place everyone elses did. My truck is kept out of the sun in a carport as much as possible. I'm in SC so no long cold winters. Cracks come from unrelieved stresses. Why are most of the cracks happening in the same places? Anyone have the drivers side dash crack?
