  1. I now live in Las Vegas so wet roads arnt really a problem 360 days a year
  2. Thanks for info. I might stick with open country a/t III. I need to look at weights of tires more
  3. I realize bigger means rubbing more but I also don’t know how accurate the height is. Different websites have different heights listed. I’m running an E rating now due to frequent cross country moves. I don’t haul enough to need a 2500 but have moved 4 times in 5 years due to military
  4. Currently have a 2015 Sierra 1500 with 2.5” level. I am running toyo open country 275/65r20 that need replaced. They were 34.1” per their website and had slight rub at full turn and in reverse. is anyone running the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/t 275/65r20? Website shows 34.5” and afraid with aggressive sidewall and larger tire it’ll rub to much. Going down to a 275/60 would put me in 33” range but trying to stay in 34s
  5. I finally figured out the issue with the backup camera and got it to come up with right screen in reverse. Now the issue I have is that I must click the button on the screen to make the lines appear. At this point I’ll have everything worked out in a year.
  6. Got the CarPlay to work so that’s a plus. Just running down now how to get backup lines to show and tune the amp better. i did have bose. Switched everything out 8600nex jl vx1000/5 c5 front C2 rear 2 10tw3
  7. It’s the 8600. I’m sitting in truck again right now. Updated my phone from 14.x to 14.3. Brought wife’s iPhone and it won’t pair. Basically trying everything I can think of hasn’t worked so it’s going back today. on a separate note. Is anyone else’s unit loud? Gives off a really bad high pitched sound that I can hear when radio is off and after a few minutes affects my ears. either I got a bad unit or these things suck. I almost bought the kenwood but switched to pioneer and it’s looking like a bad idea.
  8. I tried different wires and USB ports. Nothing worked. I’ll trouble shoot with where I bought it tomorrow or return it if we can’t get it to work
  9. I just got back inside from playing around some more. I’ve disconnected the phone and repaired multiple times. I have CarPlay turned on on my phone. The phone shows up under the “iPod” input when plugged in but will not do CarPlay. When I try to connect for CarPlay I get connection failed everytime. When I did do wifi connection it worked great and sounds good. I just want wired CarPlay and can’t get it to work at all.
  10. The pioneer 8600nex i figure out the wifi issue. I have it setup to allow me to get to the browser, sports, weather, etc thru the truck wifi. what I can’t get to work is wired Apple CarPlay. When I plug it in the phone charges so I know the usb works but it won’t allow me to do CarPlay. The only way I can do CarPlay is to connect my phones wifi to the radio hotspot. On all of our other GM cars with CarPlay standard it isn’t required so not sure if that’s an aftermarket thing or what
  11. Just installed mine. What im confused on is if there is a way to connect to the trucks wifi still. I dont have unlimited cell phone data and always connect to the truck wifi. the problem seems to be when I want to use Apple car play it disconnects and I have to use wifi with the headunit. How do I do truck wifi and Apple CarPlay?
  12. Just placed my order and will install when it all comes in. For this build I went full JL but almost got the focal components pioneer DMh-wt8300 JL VX1000/5 c5-650 front c2-650x rear two 10tw3 rear
  13. Looked for one of these for a month and ended up buying a rear under seat one beginning of aug. Just my luck
  14. Only issue I’ve had is with the radio sometimes not allowing me to scroll thru my presets
