  1. Drove a ATX4 today and was kinda let down, shocks were stiffer then stock, ride was unimpressive, I was expecting more of a Fox shock feel which each smaller bumps and is a smooth ride, these shocks are stiffer then stock, I'm guessing they eat BIG bumps better but day to day a huge let down. Really wanted to order the upper control arms but I see the mount the brake lines on them, guessing I will stick with stock or go aftermarket upper control arms.
  2. My question is can we simply swap out the upper control arms? Seems like a great option for those looking to simply crank the torsion bars while correcting the ball joint angle. Would be interesting to compare a stock, ZR2, and a Cognito/Kryptonite. I am used to using aftermarket A-arms and front diff spacers, seems the GM version actually lowers the entire cradle. Crazy GM went through all this work for 1.5in as the rest of the height comes from the taller tires.
  3. Lots of vehicles come factory filled with synthetic...
  4. Is that 15-20hp across the band or at peak rpm? I have seen many dynos with cold air intakes that show 22hp gains yet they are down power everywhere but the specific small spot where there is a gain. Fakenews... I am a header fan but a small cam L96 that doesn't spend much time in the 4000+rpm peak power rangers I just don't see making huge gains where they are needed.
  5. Leave it be, how often are you truly at full lock? Even then it makes zero difference, wheel spacers come with their own headaches.
  6. How much power is gained with headers over a stock tuned 6.0?
  7. Unless you are going to cam and tune you are wasting your time.
  8. Will be interesting to see what GM and Ford have to offer for 2020 as we know we will see a new engine/transmission, question is will is be as dead nuts reliable as the current ones?!? I am to scared to to the risk, will keep the next truck 20 years so no reason to play the game.
  9. I am in the same boat, I am going to jump ship and will be ordering a 2019 F-350 in March. I cannot ignore that Ford offers the truck optioned how I want it.
  10. You will not see a new engine that does not have all the garbage we all hate. The current gen GM 6.0 and Ford 6.2 is as good/safe as it will ever get.
  11. No MIT for 6.0, I installed one on every 6.0 I have had but they don't offer them anymore, sucks as the L96 would sound so good with one. And the stock airbox is better then anything offered aftermarket.
  12. Are you staying with a open front diff? If your truck was a factory 4.10 axle would the rear re-gear be more simple or the same? I was thinking it would be a simple re-gear vs your 3.73? These trucks should come with 4.56 gears as the 6.0 doesn't have the torque to lug around the 7,000lbs truck in 6th gear.
