  1. I just swapped the muffler and added a double tip. Not that much sound difference at all just sounds like a truck should now. I'm thinking about taking the resonator off to see what that does.
  2. One other question I have is the tips. I like the redtail that lots of people are running but I found another I like better. It is still a single in dual out tip but it's 18.75" long vs 16" on the one everybody is running. Would it still fit or would it just be a matter of having the exhaust shop bend a new tail section?
  3. Kerrslight - do you have the flapper resonator and third cat? I know I have read your post before but I don't feel like searching at the moment.
  4. Rymack10 - sounds like you want the 18" magnaflo. Possibly the 14" but from what I have read and listened to on here the 18 is more subtle and only growls when you get on it. Probably like $100 from summit racing and an hour of shop time at an exhaust shop. For what it's worth that's the route I'm going just can't decide between 14 or 18.
  5. Sorry if anyone has talked about this before but I don't remember seeing anything aside from Spurshot talking about his rounded tip so his pups don't catch an eye on it... I drive on the highway for long distances often and I take my dog almost everywhere I go, she is part of the family. Most of the time she can ride in the cab, but when I have my wife and daughter along with all of their bags and accessories or hunting buddies and gear she rides in the back in a secured kennel. I'm afraid the bed will turn into a giant subwoofer which will have a similar sound maybe even more amplified as the drone we would get in the cab. I really want to do a muffler swap just for the good ol' V8 rumble, but don't want to mess with drone and really don't want to tune (yet). That being said, what do any of you fellow dog owners/hunters think about it? Am I totally over analyzing this or do I have a valid thought? I think leaving everything in place and just swapping the muffler for something in the 18 inch range will give me what I'm looking for with minimal to no drone... Obviously I'm not exhaust expert just thinking. Sorry for the long post.

    New wheels and tires

  7. Question for those of you who are like me and still hesitant to tune your truck... I'm getting my wheels and tires tomorrow and was thinking about the computer programming for the stock wheels and tires being different than what will be on it. What parameters can the dealer change? I'll be like most everyone else 20x9 with a 33x12.5. I know it won't change the speedometer much more than any other vehicle I have put larger wheels and tires on but was just curious how to keep it close without a tune and changing everything from that point. I know I have read something about being able to change for the different wheel packages but don't remember where that was.
  8. Although I'm doubtful do you think the dealer would replace them if that's what it is? Or would they bock about being leveled? They only have 13k on them.
  9. Thanks fellas. I will start by making sure its clean If that doesn't solve it I'll look at some new shocks.
  10. Anyone with the RC 2.5 hearing noise coming from the rear suspension? It seems like I only notice it when backing up or going very slow. It isn't really a pop more of a squeak. I'm really not sure exactly how to describe the sound. I have been noticing it for a wile now and don't think its a big deal. I even took it to the alignment shop and asked them to check it out. I'm just tired of hearing it.
  11. AZGMCZ71Leveled I'm pretty sure is the handle. They are 20s with 33s worth the look. But aren't 18s AZGMCZ71Leveled I'm pretty sure is the handle. They are 20s with 33s worth the look. But aren't 18s
  12. Hi fellas first post here. I installed the rough country 2.5 about 3 months ago and I'm having some weird squeaks and popping on occasion over bumps and backing up. I think I read a wile back someone was having this issue too. Seems like they just re-tourqued everything and it was solved. Don't grill me for not wanting to read the entire thread to find it again. I guess my question is is there something wrong or do I just need to re torque everything?
