  1. Well i got my new truck as a replacement for my vibrating 14 silverado. Its a 16 2LZ with the 6.2 L engine. Same as my old one. It drove beautifully for 300 kms . No vibration. Then it started to vibrate. It vibrates really bad for the first 5 minutes of a hwy drive then settles down to a minor vibration. This is exactly how my last truck started and progressively got worse over time. Dealer wants me to put more kms on it before they look at it. These trucks have been out for 3 years. Why isnt there a fix???
  2. They said sometime in mid to late jan so yes about 8 weeks. Its an expression. You dont have to be insulting.
  3. I have a 16 on order because there were no trucks around to replace my 14 with. Fingers crossed it not a shaker.
  4. Thats a little comforting. They must have found something they are not telling us but they are unable(or unwilling) to fix my 14
  5. has there been any 16's vibrating yet? dealer is taking mine back and ordered a 16 for me. will get it next month.
  6. My dealer has now conceded they cannot fix my vibration problem. They are offering me a new truck but are trying to make me take a leftover 2015 in a color i dont want and with options i dont want with a higher payment. I ordered mine and waited 3 months for it. I called gm 4 weeks ago and started a case. I guess i will wait and see what they offer. This is my 8th full size gm truck and the only one i have not enjoyed owning. Sucks to see technology going backwards. I cant imagine how all these flaws got through the testing process. Mine has had gear set, complete rear end, tires, driveshaft, multiple balances, shocks, etc. Still shakes. Does anyone else notice it is worse when its cold out? Mine shakes more when its cold.
  7. well I guess I am one of the lucky ones. my cold tire vibration seems to have fixed itself. the truck is mostly smooth at all speeds now. I still have a slight high frequency vibration that I can feel in the gas pedal that is there all the time, but very slight. my buddy that works at a gm dealer said a lot of the 20 inch tire vibrations fix themselves if you wait it out. pretty sad they are putting such crap tires on considering the price we are paying for these things.
  8. I was just thinking a common denominator on all these trucks is the new vibration isolating cab mounts. I wonder if they are not performing as designed and causing more , not less, vibration to be transmitted to the cab? anybody play with this or heard of any techs investigating it?
  9. mine does the same as yours. if it is parked for a while the vibration is really bad for the first 20 min or so and then diminishes to a very slight vibration. I have had 2 balances and a driveshaft so far. going back this week. I wonder if it is the tires
  10. I had a 2015 rental while mine was in the shop. vibrated too
  11. I just got my truck back from the dealership for this issue. they had it for 6 days and balanced the wheels and replaced the driveshaft. they also tried to charge me for the balance but I refused to pay. they let it go after discussing for a few minutes. I then drove it to work with the same vibration I had 6 days ago. I called them and explained. now they are saying the tires are to blame( flat spotting overnight) . BS I say. so I googled 2014 Silverado vibration and found this thread on this site. didn't read all 248 pages , lol, but I now realize I am not alone. not good. one thing to note on my truck is the vibration is much more intense when the truck is cold eg: parked over night. after 10 minutes on the hwy its pretty much gone. 20" tires btw.
