What was the final conclusion of this? I installed the RC 30" curved bar behind my grill last night. I removed the active shutters from my grill, installed the bar, wired it up and put everything back together. I went to go remote start my truck and it failed just to find out that disconnecting the active shutters turns on the CEL. I am fine living without the shutters but I use my remote start almost daily. I wanted to see if anyone found a long term solution. I like the idea of placing a light below the bumper, but above the lower valance and license plate holder. Did anyone find anything that works?
