  1. Wheel/tire setup? Stance?

Thats exactly how I want mine. This Silverado is done just right.

The wheels are knock off GM CK158 split spoke. They are size 22x9 with a +31 offset I believe. Tires are Michelin Defender LTX sized 285 45/R22. Stock suspension. The tires are 1/2 inch inside the wheel well, so nearly flush with this setup.

  2. Mine was at the dealer earlier this week for this issue of a squeak when going from V4 to V8 mode. They diagnosed it as coming from the flapper valve and immediately ordered a new exhaust which will be in next week. My service guys say the replacement exhaust has an updated part number so they believe the flapper valve has been redesigned.
  3. Mine does it too and I'm reflexively looking for a huge rock chip every time I hear it. In my case, it is a fairly rare occurrence. I thought it was the windshield until reading this thread about the radio trim.
  4. My guess is that any additional wear won't be significant enough to cause concern. That being said, you could render the issue moot by simply switching between 2WD and auto as needed.
  5. You'll get slightly more drivetrain noise and the clutch pack in the transfer case may experience additional wear since the transfer case is partially engaged when the AUTO setting is used. If I'm on dry pavement, my truck is in 2WD always. I like the way it drives and responds a little better in 2WD than in AUTO.
  6. My dealer has ordered the parts to complete this repair on my truck next week. They are doing this under PI1376, which appears to be the latest TSB for this issue.
  7. Nice looking truck ^^^^^ The photo on the bridge is really cool. Is that an old railway bridge?
  8. GM's Global A architecture is now being used in the Silverado and Sierra which prevents swapping. You can read about it in this 2010 document: http://www.sandyblogs.com/techlink/feb2010techlink.pdf
