I just wanted to post a thank you to everyone that bugged GM to do this TSB. I feel much much safer driving in the dark now. Before the TSB I had to always have my fogs on to get any peripheral light. Every 14-15 1500 owner should get their truck fixed asap.

I got my truck back from the dealer and had a chance to test it out tonight. My first impressions are that its noticeably brighter, I could see the guesstimates of a 40% increase being accurate. I have a lot more peripheral light from the beam pattern as well which really helps in the rural area I live. The beam pattern also seems to extend a lot further ahead I'm actually hoping my low beams don't blind oncoming traffic as I feel they may be angled a little high.

Just dropped off my truck 30 minutes ago. Service rep confirmed that he ordered the bulbs and they'll be here at noon. Also confirmed that the TSB is for both bulbs and BCM flash and that it's all under warranty opposed to what he told me yesterday. I can't wait to try them out tonight.

He said it's not a recall, so I'd have to have some kind of special accessory warranty or something for it to be covered. He wasn't willing to help me till I told him I'd pay for it if it wasn't covered by warranty.

Just called the dealership and gave them the TSB number (thanks) they said I needed to bring my truck in so they can start the process. Unfortunately he told me that it wasn't covered under warranty, so I don't know how much I'm going to have to pay for all of this, but this will eliminate the only thing I don't like about my truck. Can't wait.
