  1. I have a 2LT trim 2006. They came with factory 20in wheels, and torsion bar frong end. Finding shocks has always been a pita, as 99% of the 2wd trucks from that era were coil spring. Every online shock store never has a seperate listing for the Tbar 2wd trucks.
  2. I think y'all may be on to something. When it starts blowing vent air, the comp is not on. I barely nudged the fron of thr comp, and it kicked back on. Going to try removing the washer when I get home. Is that the best fix, or should I just get a new clutch unit?
  3. 2006 with the LT2 package. As said,, This issue is intermittent. I can crank up, and Ac blows cold for about 10min,then,it starts blowing outside air. I can turn the truck off, immediately restart it, and the AC will work fine..... for another 10min. Another curveball, sometimes, it doesn't cut out at all. Compressor is cycling,not leaking, freon level is fine, cold line is 64deg,hot line is 115deg. Belt isn't slipping. I replaced the resistor under the kick panel a few yrs ago, when the fan speed started acting up. Also, my truck has the "climate control" system. I havd done every variation of "reset" I have seen. Pull fuse, wait xx minutes, crank, replace fuse, wait, let system cycle, turn this side all the way hot, that side all the way cold, ect. Nothing has worked. It's almost summer in Louisiana.   4. I have been leary of a 6.2 truck due tk the known trans issues, and am afraid the 8spd will be looked back on as a bastard, with the new 10spd in the future.
  5. Why not just have a local shop fab up whatever configuration you want?
  6. I thought this was the first year GM had a 6spd behind the 2500 gassers. Wasnt it a 4spd in the last body style?
  7. Somewhat holding out for GM to update the old 6.0 in favor of a 6.2/8speed. Should that not happen, im going with a 6.0 gasser. Question : What 6spd are they using? What hp/tq is it rated to? Any well known issues with them thus far? I saw the Gauntlet vid where they ran it up the mountain side, and it didnt seem to want to drop to a lower gear. Held the higher gear, and bogged the while way. No doubt, GM will likely do an update tune to correct this.
