  1. The hardest part about removing the cowl was getting the wiper arms off.
  2. I replaced the two side air intake panels as well. The sun did a number on them and the contrast between the two would have driven my crazy. Driver's side - 22776513 Passenger side - 23178017 Hope this helps.
  3. I recently replaced the one on my 2017.. P/N 23207952 Panel Assembly, Air Inlet Grille..
  4. Sure, after going into my Sierra's menu, I found it is called the Collision Detection System. On the radio display, Home->Settings->Vehicle->Collision Detection System-> Options are Off, Alert and Alert, and Brake.
  5. I have installed rock sliders on my previous Toyota truck/rock crawler. They were not bolt-on as they required to be welded to the frame. They were beefy and withstood the punishment that I put them through on both trips though the Rubicon Trail. I'm not sure what you're driving through the trails, but if you need rock sliders, I would look into some under-body armor, such as a transmission/transfer case skid plate and a rear diff slider. I bought most of my gear from Trailgear.com and MarlinCrawler.com.
  6. The Kicker's onboard Amp wasn't receiving the remote signal from the stock head unit. It turned out that the Amp had an internal failure. I purchased a replacement amp, and boo-bam... problem solved.
  7. Glad to help. Below is a list of additional items that I replaced. I've heard you can reuse the valve cover and intake gaskets, but I didn't want to take the chance of them failing. I'd rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it. - Valve Cover Gaskets - Intake Gaskets - Exhaust gaskets - VLOM Gasket (you shouldn't need this since your not plugging the DoD oil passages) - Oil (8 quarts) and Oil Filter - Plugs - Wires - All Belts I'm sure I can dig up part numbers if you want them.
  8. You stated that you are only interested in replacing the lifters. If you decide to replace the lifters, then one of the REPAIR kits below would work. Of course, verify the year and engine are correct before purchasing. Hopefully this helps.
  9. What head unit is this? I thought you had the Linkswell 5?
  10. The repair kits without replacement cams are at the bottom of the page. I recently used their DoD Delete kit and was very happy with the quality of the parts. https://sdparts.com/rt-4585-gm-displacement-on-demand-kits-components.html - Adding the high-pressure fuel lines and 8 non-DoD lifters to the kit is also an option. I suggest replacing the Exhaust and Intake Manifold Gaskets. If you plan on removing the VLOM, then I would also replace that gasket. I hope this helps.
  11. I finished the DoD Delete this past weekend using https://sdparts.com/i-24138746-l83-dod-afm-delete-kit-for-2014-2018-gen-v-5-3-engines.html. The kit had everything that you need to delete the AFM system. I used the Diablo i3 to turn off the DoD in the ECM. I also replaced: - Valve cover gaskets - VLOM gasket - Plugs - Wires - All Belts I hope this helps.
  12. Thanks for the reply. I ordered the DoD delete kit w/ stock cam as I wasn't 100% sure how it would run without a tune. I'm not super happy about this decision, but I can't risk being without a vehicle. On the other hand, I will feel better knowing I'm not driving a potential time bomb.
