Seat Movement Issues
pcmotor replied to jdvaughn's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Troubleshooting
Ended up calling another dealer close by that is familiar with all the reported issues. Only one phone call, but extremely knowledgable and provided logical explanations to couple common issues and provided detail steps for diagnostic techniques for everything. Scheduling appt there as soon as schedule allows...and calling service manager at Tustin GMC to give them a piece of my mind...extremely pathetic and total lack of professionalism and service. Anyone in so-cal....don't take your truck to Tustin....trust me. i should have known better to leave my truck with them...some guy chewing them a new one for bringing his suv in 3 times for twilight issue that still wasn't fixed. They are definitely not doing things right over there. I'll report back about the seat fix after taking it in to the other dealer. -

Yep, this was my Service Write-up from today (03-02-15) at Tustin Buick GMC Dealer in Tustin CA (Anthony Razo = Service Writer). I will call myself the Customer.... Customer - Rattle in door / Dealer - You have tinted windows Customer - Lateral Seat Movement / Dealer - No Operation Problem Customer - Clunky & False shifts / Dealer - No Problem found Customer - Vibration near 65 MPH / Dealer - No Problem at this time Customer - Clunk when fast accelerating from a stop / Torque Leaf Springs I'm so effin pissed right now and have totally lost all trust in GM. I called the dealer (Tustin Buick GMC in Tustin CA) on Thursday explaining the seat movement to Tony Razo who made it seam like he knew what I was talking about and scheduled for me to come in Monday 03-02-15. They had my truck all day and when I called to follow up they said they needed to keep it overnight to look at it more. Then 15 minutes later I got a call my truck was done. When I get to the dealer they hand me this pathetic excuse of an invoice and tell me they couldn't find anything and found nothing wrong. Then when I showed them the 'vitalysmobile' writeup for the seat fix, he tried telling me....oh...we know its an issue but the fix they were doing doesn't work so there not doing it anymore, but proceeded to copy the part numbers down from the article....what a bunch of bs...and if it was true then why couldn't he just tell me that over the phone when I called to schedule a fix for lateral seat movement. He then starting reading me the explanations on the invoice as if he was providing a totally legit justifications for why he couldn't find anything...really....tint was the reason they couldn't find a rattle on the door....I'm completely livid. Of course they didn't find any of the vibration issues, transmission issues or clunk heard when accelerating from a start because they never drove the vehicle. (14904 Miles in / 14904 Miles out)...wtf!. Then he proceeded to tell me that my 33" aftermarket tires voided my warranty. If there is a class action suit going on that people know about please let me know......GM thinks we all have STUPID written on our foreheads. Better call Sol!.....Vent over! -

I had brought my truck into the dealer once before for the seat movement and they told me they had no fix. Today I had about all I could take of the dam 'Lateral' seat movement and was just about to grab the flashlight and tools and do some investigating of my own. Glad I read this post first.....although I went through about 8 pages before I jumped to the end and discovered that there was a fix. I suggest a moderator move all the possible resolutions/fixes to the front page....with the most successful one at the top. Scheduling an appointment with local dealer as soon as I can to get this resolved....was driving me nuts!
