  1. Oh, I didn't notice the Canadia part. Yeah you guys are hurting right now. I just was researching a business laptop for my friend up there. The same one that is $369 USD on Amazon.com right now is $699 CAD on Amazon.ca. I was like ouch...
  2. No, those are NOT the power folding mirrors. Those are the GM accessory kit. You have to actually order OEM replacement folding mirrors to get power folding. Also, what a horrible price. They are trying to take you to the cleaner. You should be able to get those mirrors for under $600 shipped, and the harnesses for under $200 shipped. So a max of $800 for parts. Which means they are trying to take you for another $750+.
  3. Didn't you look over the order before they placed it? I have ordered a few new trucks and they always send me the GM Global Connect shopping cart printout for my review before they click send.
  4. That is a heck of a grille guard. Planning to run over some moose or a Clydesdale?
  5. Several threads specifically for adding tow mirrors to these trucks. Depends on which stock mirrors you started with, DL8 or DL3. Do a search and you will find pages and pages and pages of great info that can answer literally any question you could possibly have. For a 2014, you need the RZY jumper harness and a new door harness in each door. The white LEDs are not designed as reverse lights or to come on with key fob like the puddle lights do on the smaller mirrors unless you were to do some complicated custom wiring job. From the factory they are wired as cargo lights, so you have to push the button in your truck and it will turn on the mirror LEDs and your other cargo lights in the back. That is how they are designed to work. If you push the button they work perfectly in reverse, and shut off when you put it in D. This is assuming you wire it with the OEM door harnesses like most do. Amber lights will work perfectly as running lights if you use OEM door harnesses.
  6. How difficult was the install? Did you do it yourself? What kind of lift did you use? I am asking because if I bought these I would want to do the install myself and would like to know what environment you installed them. Thanks.
  7. I've seen it talked about in threads, but couldn't find any info in the audio forum or a dedicated thread. I have a Denali with 6.2 and active noise cancellation. I want to add the stand-alone kicker sub, but it's not technically for the 6.2 as I guess the ANC is tuned for the built in sub but not the aftermarket. I've read that you can disconnect the rear microphone and everything works. Has anyone done this and had any issues? Will the front mics still pick up the bass and attempt to cancel it out? Is there a more elegant solution than snipping the mic wire, like unplugging it from the harness? Is there any feedback or distortion or anything else with this route? Thanks.
  8. Yes, 91+ octane. If you don't run premium in the 6.2l, sell your truck. It's designed for premium. Don't give that BS about it runs fine because the sensors retard the timing. That means it's not running properly
  9. If you wire up a clean, professional OEM-looking PnP harness with built-in resistors and correct connectors and pinout, I would think eBay and forum members would pay you a fair price. Could be nice side money on your end.
  10. I'm far from an audiophile, but a bitrate that low would make even my ears bleed.
  11. The GM accessory kit is NOT power folding. You have to actually purchase two replacement mirrors from the parts counter. The good news is that with 2x mirrors and 2x door harnesses, it's just a plug and play install. It's 3-4 hours labor if the dealership installs them.
  12. There are several threads about this and tons and tons of info here on the forum. You cannot purchase the official GM accessory kit the OP talks about, you have to actually purchase two replacement powerfolding mirrors separately. The cost increase is significant. You can get the chrome non-power kit for about $560 shipped, where the chrome power mirrors are about $500 each new or slightly cheaper used. You still have to purchase an RZY harness and 2x new door harnesses if you want plug and play functionality.
  13. Starting May 1st, 2016 the new law will phase in that makes a backup camera mandatory on all new vehicles sold in the USA. They have until 2018 to be 100% compliant with a camera on every single new vehicle sold.
  14. I don't like aftermarket grilles on the Silverado because I don't like their front end to begin with, but some of them look decent on the GMC. As soon as I get some more money in my pocket, I am going with a billet grille for my Denali. It's going to cost a lot because I refuse to cut my stock grille, so I have to buy a GM replacement grille as well as the T-Rex grille. Expensive, but the option to return to stock means a lot to me. And I agree that each person should mod their truck to what they like, not what others like. The world would be a boring place if we all thought the same.
