  1. Seemed to work just as effective on the wheel as well as the side step. Only had a few minutes to confirm I wasn’t doomed though. I will have to take tire off to scrub inside of wheel good though
  2. Thanks to those with helpful responses... I’m glad I didn’t take it to a professional detailer or worse to get repainted lol. I bought a gallon of GYEON iron remover off amazon. It was waiting for me when I got home from work. I tested it out for 10minutes on the passenger door. The immediate results were unbelievable. It is very expensive and the rotten egg smell is terrible (will have to store in sealed bag as garage smells bad now) but well worth it for the results. I shouldn’t need more than a half gallon leaving me plenty to take care of the rail dust on the rest of the truck..
  3. In hindsight I would have changed them before this happened. Truck has 48k miles and I was planning to do them with my next service at 50k miles. I didn't hear any squeal until halfway into the 150mile roundtrip to PA, and could feel grinding on the way back. All the other pads still had life left when I removed them. I did have my 800# slide in camper that I just got in back of truck which probably accelerated this issue. Sounds like I should try Iron-X first and then clay bar.
  4. Front outer brake pad on passenger side ceased up and wore down to metal, causing metal on metal contact with the rotor... The metal shavings from the rotor and pad got all over the front wheel and lower passenger side of my truck and door step. I was coming back from a trip to PA in the rain and made it home, but by the next day there was visible rust all over the passenger side.. Just took it to a manual car wash and tried to get the rust off but its not coming off with any scrubbing or power washing.. Does anyone have any experience with this issue and know a good product to get it off before it ruins my paint and wheel? The truck is white diamond pearl with the all terrain wheels. Should I just take it to get professionally detailed or is there a good product I should try first? Clay Bar? Thanks for any help or suggestions. Thanks for any help.
  5. Inquired with Rough Country and they said, "They have that part on the to do list but it will be first of next year before we release that due to other projects taking priority over that one at the moment." I would suggest those with interest in a hidden winch mount from RC contact them, so this becomes a priority.. but atleast it's on their horizon..
  6. Does anyone know the gm PN for the 4x4 trailer brake switch plate? Link that was posted isn't working anymore. Thanks
