  1. For comparison I just had the SV cam installed on my 2015 6.2. Dyno'd with E-85 with stock manifolds and intake.
  2. The passenger lifters on my 6.2 had to be replaced at 102,000 miles. Luckily Chevy only charged labor at $1,100.00 even though I was 2,000 miles over the warranty. Ticking again and shop said cam needs replaced. I am going after market cam and lifters with AFM delete. Just waiting for the shop to receive the parts. $5,800.00 for cam and E85 tune. Everybody else was quoting 5k for stock parts and install. With only 77,000 miles I would go with the mild cam and AFM delete. Sure cheaper than buying an overpriced new truck at this time.
  3. Same issue with mine. Did the flush 60k ago. No problems since. Best $200.00 spent on this truck.
  4. I had my torque converter replaced under warranty at 30000 mile on my 2015. The shudder came back at 60,000 miles so I had the new flush done at the dealer for $200. I have had no issues with the shudder and am at 130k miles now. Do the flush first.
  5. This is how I installed my sensor. Super easy.
  6. I have 120,000 on my 2015 8 speed and had the fluid replaced at 100,000 with Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP. It fixed the shudder and crappy shifting and now drives and shifts as smooth as butter.
  7. I picked up a after market condenser from radiator express 2-1/2 years ago on eBay for $100.00. Definitely an upgrade from the OEM parts. Pretty easy install. Even buying gauges, freon and renting vacuum pump. I finished in 4 hours for under $250.00.
  8. Driveshaft replaced at 15,000 miles. Torque converter replaced for shudder at 36,000 miles. Passenger door window motor at 45,000. AC Condenser replaced at 75,000. Collapsed lifter at 102,000. Shudder back at 104,000. Transmission temperature sensor harness at 105,000. Other then that no problems.
  9. I bent the metal shield on the gas tank down a little. This gave more protection for the sensor.
  10. Sounds like a pita. Probably let the dealer fix it for $900.00. Thanks for the information.
  11. Yes ,their vendor changed their manufacturing process and some of the harnesses were faulty. I get low temperature readings on my transmission even when I'm towing. I believe there was a TSB that replaced them under warranty. I would appreciate it when you pull your pan off if you could look at the wiring harness and see if it's pretty easy to replace. If it's not too much trouble. It looks like it just snaps in.
  12. Nice write up WS6. The pictures with the pan removed were a lot of help as I need to replace the wiring harness with the Trans temperature sensor. It is my understanding that the sensor it is built into the wiring harness. Has anyone here replaced the harness themselves? I am going to order the harness and replace it when I do the flush.
  13. Great find on the Bosch tool! I had the shudder and the torque converter was replaced two years ago. Well the shudder is back and I was told by my Chevrolet dealer that I need to do the flush with the new Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP 124715 at a cost $500.00. On my previous 4l60e transmissions I used the procedure outlined at this link: https://www.gmfullsize.com/threads/how-to-4l60e-transmission-flush-filter-change.179148/ . I don't see any reason why we can't use the same steps for the 8l90e with the exception of adding fluid . I believe the transmission lines at the radiator are the same as the old 4l60's and 6l80's. If not it shouldn't take much to source the connectors. All in with fluid,filter and tool I should be under $300.00.
