  1. I'm done dealing with local dealerships. Most won't touch the project and the one that will wanted 900.00+ for labor. I'm going to run my own wires into the doors this weekend to get the clearance and cargo lights working correctly.
  2. This is exactly what I'm looking for. However the dealership I purchased the truck and the DQS mirrors from wants no part in the install of harnesses and flashing or truck. They are just willing to sell me the harnesses. Hopefully I can find a local dealer that is willing to help me.
  3. Harnesses shouldn't be a big issue. Where I need GM's help is flashing the memory module with new CALS. Hopefully the two dealerships I left messages with will come through. The dealership I purchased the truck and DQS mirrors from wants no part of installing said harnesses and the flashing.
  4. That's correct. I have the amber clearance lights wired as blinkers for now, but I would like them to work as clearance lights as they are intended to be use. Everything I've read says I just need to swap out the door harness with the ones sold by GM (23171564 & 23171567) as well have the memory module flashed with new CALS. The service manager at my local dealer says he has personally performed 2 of the installs without a hitch. The one he is working on now, he can't get the passenger side clearance light to come on. Because of that fact he refuses to work on my truck. Hopefully the other dealers I've left messages with will be willing to dive into this project. If not, I'm going to run my own wires into the doors and hook up the clearance and reverse LEDs.
  5. The GM Service bulletin clearly states that my truck can be upgrade to work correctly. I have the following : 2015 HD & AVF | CREW(43) | DL3 A45 | 23171564 | 23171567 | NO | NO | YES |
  6. Buckalew for sure said no. I've left messages with service managers at Munday and Lone Star Chevrolet. If either of them are willing to give it a shot I'll be sure to post it here for others in the Houston area.
  7. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/164349-201415-hd-powerfold-oem-tow-mirrors-the-ones-weve-been-waiting/page-1 Post #1 should have all the info you need. Buried in that same post are instructions on how I can run my own wires to the mirrors and power on the LEDs and the Clearance light. I didn't want to have to go that route but if GM and their dealerships are unwilling to help me I just may have too.
  8. Earlier this year I worked with my local dealership to get the correct towing mirrors installed on my truck. Mine came with the small city mirrors. As it stands now I have the correct DQS Mirrors installed. Everything works except the Amber clearance Lights and the white LED lights for backup assist. (technically I have the amber lights wired up as turn signals but I'm going to remove this) I went back to the same dealership today and the parts manager pulled up the GM Bulletin that tells the dealer- ship what to order in regards to door harness as well if BCM needs new CALS or if the memory module needs new CALS. The parts manager determines from my VIN and body codes that I need the following: Driver Door Harness - 23171564 Pass Door Harness - 23171567 Memory Module needs new CALs (Take in mind that I already have the correct mirrors installed. Chrome capped, manual extend, power fold, power adjust, passenger temp sensor [Duramax Engine]) I get ready to place my order and the Parts manager calls over the service manager AND I kid you not the Service manger refuses to install the harness and perform the flash. He says he's been working on another truck just like mine for over 16 hours and has yet to get everything to work; and as such he tells me and the parts manager that his shop will no longer be taking these types of job. Basically he tells me to go kick rocks. I have since called 2 other local Chevrolet dealerships, none of which know what I am talking about and then they just want to take down my information and tell me they will have their service managers call me back. Does anyone know of any dealership in the Houston, TX area that can help me? Can installing the correct harness and flashing the truck be that difficult? Looking at the bulletin and reading it's instructions I could easily install the harness myself. I have A LOT of practice getting the door panels off as I installed 3 different mirror types until we got it right earlier this year. Flashing the memory module is where I will need GM's help. Thank you to anyone in advance that can help!
