  1. Well after a month since my initial lemon law complaint at the dealer now picking up my new truck. The BBB auto line is free for all states so if your dealing with an attorney you really don't need to. If you have any questions about the process I went through please pm me your questions and I'd be glad to go over it with you.
  2. Thanks mjj I'll have to take a look at those products
  3. What do you have that allows you to turn off the V4 mode. I was told by the dealer this couldn't be done.
  4. Got my buyback letter from the BBB Autoline office to verify my conversation with the repurchase coordinator the other day. Should be done in 7 to 14 days. What i'd like to find out from everyone. How many of you are having vibration issues when vehicle goes into V4 mode. This mode could occur at any speed and will effect, with vibration, the steering wheel, pedals, seats and entire truck. Thanks....just curious if anyone else is seeing the same thing my truck got bought back for.
  5. Hey FrustratedCasey....well after talking with you and the trouble you went through.....you gave me some good advise so I was ready for them. And I agree....things started moving when I contacted BBB as they were trying to run me down the tradein path which I would have lost big time. I'm going with a 2015 Silverado 2WD LT which will be delivered in about 3 to 4 weeks. I've already test drove it and it rode great. Also thanks for the advise on "Change of Collateral" I'll be sure and mentioned that to them as well. Congrats on your new vehicle and again thanks for reaching out to me and the advise....you were a big help.
  6. No fix for this. They kept my truck for 26 days trying to fix it and when I had my truck in they told me they had another 2WD V6 truck in that was doing the same thing when in V4, so don't believe them and keep pressing the issue. The service manager drove my truck with the pico meters on it and confirmed the vibration. He told me that it might be due to the engine weight as the V6 was about 200lbs lighter. But yes the steering wheel would shake and I could tell you every time it went into V4 mode. Very frustrating as I liked the truck but not the vibration. Yea they did a road force balance on my truck twice. First time it took 9 goodyear tires before they found 4 they could use. The second time they put contential tires on. As for the ride when in V6 mode it was nice and smooth, but V4 was another story. In anycase GM is standing behind it with the buy-back but I had to give up my 4X4 for a V8 2wd. I did a short test drive on the new truck I'm looking at getting and so far you can't even tell when it's in V4 mode. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Good luck and let us know how you make out.
  7. Well it's been awhile since I posted last and I wanted to update what is going on with my vibration issues. As previously stated I've had the truck in the shop 3 times for a total of 26 days trying to get the vibration issue fixed. The vibration was occuring when my 2014 Silverado 1500 4X4 went from V6 to V4 mode. Once in V4 mode the steering wheel and truck would vibrate. The service manager after replacing the ring/penion and force balancing tires, and finally changing tires from Goodyear to Contenial, that he had no idea why this was occuring. So I approched the general manger of the dealership to request a buy-back. He told me to open a case with GM and he'd work on finding out what to do, which I did. Now in my mind we're talking buy-back but in the general managers mind he was offering a trade-in. Huge difference. When they made me the offer I was getting $7K less for my truck and having to pay $2800 more for the new truck. Not a good deal for me. I told them I wanted a even trade on the vehicle with NO money out of my pocket. He said he'd have to contact GM to see if he could get anymore incentives. Well after 5 days later after I had to call back to get an update and of course he told me that GM could not do anything else and asked me if I'd like to proceed with the trade-in. I advised him I'd call him back. Needless to say I was not happy with the deal and that evening I filled with the BBB Autoline to proceed with Lemon Law. It was amazing the very next day I got a call from GM Senior Advisor asking what the issue was with my truck, what I wanted, and which dealership I was working with and the contact name there. I went over everything with them and they advised they'd get back to me in a few days. True to their word they called me back with an offer. That offer was a buy-back of my vehicle, MSRP of my truck for another vehicle of the same or less MSRP. So yesterday I found another truck, 2015 Sliverado LT V8 which I submitting through the GM senior rep this morning for replacement. All in all I guess the squeeky wheel gets the grease and if you do have issues don't be afraid to report your problem to the BBB autoline. They are there to help and arbutrate if needed, but all I had to do was file with them to get GM to call and start the process. Thanks to this board for all the post and advise. It really helped.
  8. Hey mikegmi2.........So what did you have before, how long did you have it and what kind of vibration did you have? I'm at the point where the dealership has 24 hours to call me to start this process.....also are they sticking to msrp to msrp or are they giving you a little bit of room to make you happy?
  9. OK thanks all for updates and information on your situation. Here is an update on mine. Called GM over the weekend to voice my disatisfaction with the vehicle and I was given a case number. As there was no seinor advisor in over the weekend, I was told to call back on Monday which I did this morning. The senior adviser asked me what I wanted to do to which I told them I wanted a buy back. The advisor then told me that the dealership would be involved at this point to determine what options they'd offer me. The advisor then stated she'd send the information over to the dealership and they would be calling me to discuss options. So far it sounds like they might be willing to work with me on getting a new truck, but we will see what the dealership has to say. More to come as this saga continues.
  10. FrustratedCasey.....I'm in Florida as well. Would sure like to talk to you if you don't mind. I'll PM you my contact information.
  11. Well I've got the same issue with vibration on my 2014 Silverado 4x4. It's a V6 model and everytime it goes into V4 mode I get the vibration throughout the vehicle. Most noticeable in the steering wheel and of couse in the vehicle itself. After 3 times to the dealer they can't fix it so I went in today to let them know I was very disatisfied with the vehicle. During the service trips the ring and pinion was replaced, force balance the tires several time, retack/weld the exhast, and this last time they put contential tires on and said there was nothing else they could do on the engine vibration when going into V4 mode. Today when I picked up my truck I spoke to the general manager who advised me to contact GM to voice my dissatisfaction with the truck and file a complaint, which I did. They also advised they had already report to the zone manager that my truck has an issue. So called GM and got a complaint number and now waiting for the senior manager to call me back. Now I'd be happy getting a V8 model as a trade but not looking at the post here it's seems I'm going to be on the loosing end if they value my truck as a trade-in. I've got 5000 miles on the truck and the funny thing (not) is I live 100 miles from the dealership and the last few times I've been up there I guess between me driving there and them test driving it about 1000 miles were placed on the truck. So I guess that will be against me. I'd appreciate any advise on how it will go when the senior advisor calls me next week. I'm sure everyone is somewhat different but any advise would be greatly appreciated.
  12. OK looks like the dealership is going to work with me on a buy back. But it will have to go through GM. The general manager went with me to talk to the service manager who said he had already reported the issue to GM zone manager. Now I have to call GM to file a complaint. Any advise out there?
  13. UPDATE.....The service manager called me yesterday saying he had a request into the zone manager to put a new set of tires on the truck that aren't goodyear. Not sure this will help but they keep throwing parts at what I think is a engine issue......V6 to V4 mode. At least they are still trying to fix the issue. Of course I called my sales guy who sold me the truck and he never returned my call. We will see.
  14. Thanks MD...we will see. I do have to say the service manager is doing a lot to try and fix it, but so far after 2 service trips and 24 days there they haven't got a clue as to why. They just keep throwing parts at it hoping that will fix it. I say hopeful.
  15. No vibration when I accelerate and vehicle is in V6 mode. Only when the V4 mode kicks in at any speed does this occur. They've got my car right now and the service manager called me to say he was going to drive it home last night to see if it was any different. Haven't heard from him today yet........The service manager keeps going back to the exhast after changing all the other parts and says he is going to force balance the tires yet once again. He also said that the engine wasn't heavy enough to stop the vibrations....whatever that means. I've notified the sales guy who doesn't seem to interested in helping me yet. I'm thinking this is going to go down the lemon law trail. On other note I've got a 2015 Silverado LT V8 as a loaner and it rides great. It's a 2WD verses my 4WD. Stay tuned should start getting interesting.
