  1. razorback I installed an inline fuse and one of the spades I got from amazon. I also notched the lip of the box for th wire. It seems like a much better connection, we shall see.
  2. I think mine my have melted from heat and not current. The design having both fuses touch each other is stupid. I'm gonna try this one with an inline fuse that will sit outside the fusebox. http://www.amazon.com/WirthCo-30800-Battery-Doctor-Fuses/dp/B000CQDRTI/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1461625713&sr=8-11&keywords=tap+a+fuse
  3. OK, I am tending to agree with Razorback7. The tapafuse could be better quality.
  4. When my petered out the other night I noticed the low beams not working but the led's did. Now that it's unhooked none of them work. I thought the add-a-fuse was only providing power to the relays, so why would it be pulling such a load just for a relay? Could it be that one of the relays controls the low beams and that particular relay went bad? GM Tech just told me the wiper fuse might be a better spot to tap into. Gonna get my test light out and see what I can find out. Anyone out there with some input please help.
  5. I have a 2015 Sierra SLE & I upgraded to the Gen5 Harness and SLT headlights. They have been working fine for over a year now. Friday night the truck started misfiring badly and the check engine light started flashing. Towed it to the GMC house. They just called and said the connection at the fusebox that I added was melted. They unhooked it and truck runs fine now but with no headlights. Anyone know a fix for this. I don't want to reinstall the original headlights. Should I tap the power from somewhere else? I appreciate any help.

  7. Thanks Man. I just emailed you. That's good business of you and I also like the way you all improved the harness design. Makes total sense to use a relay to improve the voltage. My dealership would have been a PITA to deal with should I have encountered the flicker. Dang those lights are expensive. Maybe I can get a buck or 2 for my old ones.
  8. Hey 2SSRS it looks like you raised the price $100. I was waiting on the results of the harness this week to order them but the package was $1222 the other day now $1322. Am I mistaken?
  9. Instead of spending so much on new lights, anyone tried to open one up and install led strips inside?
