  1. I need to lift up the bed of my truck to slide a new bumper in.  Which bolts have to removed to allow the truck bed to be raised?  How many of them are there, any tips on locating?

  2. When my alternator went bad (stuck fully engaged) it fried my batteries with it. Truck voltage was way high which I thought was odd, but didn’t catch in time. Eventually batteries couldn’t hold a charge, but truck would still run from alternator being at 100%. When alternator craps out it’s best to get your batteries checked. Low voltage (in your case) is known to cause some pretty strange problems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Will probably soften ride quality a bit as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Does the tire still have clearance when the rear has a heavy load? I wouldn’t want to use the tire as a bump stop, but I’ve always coveted the peace of mind having a full sized spare down there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Could always swap for the previous year hood without the scoop. I’m sure there’s plenty of people who’d love to trade hoods! I know I would... I’m partial to the scoop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I had great luck with AT2’s on my last truck. Very reliable tire, I never had a problem in rain or mud. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. She’s the pirate dog from the hot rod shop next door. She’s got three legs and one eye! They should’ve named her Lucky.... haha! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Man that looks sick! Very jealous haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Forgot to add, here’s some measurements I took with the fuel tank just under 3/4. Cab Tallest Point: 6’-8” (80”) Antenna Height: 7’-4” (88”) Fenders: Driver Front: 3’-7 13/16” (43 13/16”) Passenger Front: 3’-7 13/16” (43 13/16”) Driver Rear: 3’-8 3/16” (44 3/16”) Passenger Rear: 3’-8 3/16” (44 3/16”) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. So after some long hours, I finally got everything installed. With the help of my mechanically inclined friend, I should add. Here’s some shots of the new UCAs, shock spacers, manifolds, a little bit of the up pipes, and the down pipe. I apologize for the excessive grease in the UCA area... I promise I cleaned it up haha. The suspension was a pretty easy install. Shock spacers were a breeze and so were the differential drop spacers. Upper control arms take a bit of coaxing to get them into the slots, but nothing crazy. Torsion keys would’ve been easy with the torsion key tool... we fought it for about an hour before we finally got them installed. As for the up pipes, manifolds, downpipe, EGR delete, total pita. It was stressful for sure, but very glad it’s done. Lucky thing was the motor mounts were super easy to install because of the manifolds being removed. Got the truck leveled, tries installed, and an alignment. Truck rides fantastic, takes bumps a lot better than it used to. The Toyo Tires are very quiet, can barely hear them. Exhaust is about 50% louder cruising around, and turbo is super defined now. When I punch it, the exhaust is excessively loud. I love it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. The best way I can describe them is a spring shackle, as opposed to a traditional stock straight shackle. The main benefit is definitely ride quality. It took all of the unnecessary stiffness out of the rear end. That being said, it still maintains the factory tow/payload ratings. Hooking up a trailer didn’t make the rear drop any lower than normal, not noticeably anyway. Ride quality was greatly improved. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Just scored these bad boys for the Duramax. Load range f tires, very excited. They’re 35x12.50x20. Got a lot of other goodies being installed as well. For the front went with CCM uca’s, shock extensions, leveling keys, and diff drop spacers. Put Sulastic Shackles in the rear. Got EGR delete, both up pipes, both manifolds, downpipe, pcv reroute, resonator delete, and beefy motor mounts being installed currently. Already had the DEF delete for 5” exhaust. Can’t wait to hear what it sounds like when it’s done! Just wanted to share my excitement haha.. Thanks for reading. Ps. Don’t have pics of all the parts currently, but will post more later. Also I’m aware the up pipes in the photo are the wrong ones... they’re the oem replacement pipes. I have ordered the correct up pipes for the PPE manifolds! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I'm definitely not sure haha. I followed the GMPartsDirect vehicle finder and that's the part number it gave me. I don't see why part numbers would be different between 1500 and 2500 series, although I would bet left and right actuators are different part numbers. But ultimately it looks like I should go to the dealership to confirm part numbers and pricing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I can only find them for $85 on eBay. Twice the price what a bummer. Anyone know what the dealership sells them for? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. You guys bought them all! Haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
