Shake or Vibration Issues
Aussieshed replied to Silver space ship's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Troubleshooting
My guess is the article, growing word on the street of the issues, and trying to do some damage control on this 600 page thread. Until I see some action towards solving issues, this is all just lip service to me. -
Shake or Vibration Issues
Aussieshed replied to Silver space ship's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Troubleshooting
This is awesome. Especially the whole part about GM acknowledging they're aware of the issues which the dealer I visited a week or so ago said they've never heard of this issue, nor did the GM technician hotline they called. Knew it was all BS. Composing an email to the dealer immediately. -
Shake or Vibration Issues
Aussieshed replied to Silver space ship's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Troubleshooting
Well the response I got from the dealer yesterday when I had my truck in was the standard. Tech felt the vibration when I took him on a test drive, but they couldn't find anything. No data to go on. Rang the GM mechanic line and they were told there's no known problem, which is just a joke since so many on here have issue numbers (or whatever they're called) with GM. Anyway I told him, GM does know about it and is ignoring it and that you just have to search the web to find hundreds of references to the issue. Also told him about the AutoGuide article coming out. So driving it home last night, it actually felt worse, so I'll be contacting them again. -
Shake or Vibration Issues

Editor for what publication? I have my truck going in on Monday for the vibration issue. Have already been told it's probably just normal. I plan to ask them to explain why GM designed a truck to vibrate and shake and if this is a designed feature, why they don't bring that up when trying to sell the truck to buyers. And I think we all know the answer to this. -
Replace rear window with slider
Aussieshed replied to chevy15's topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & Sierra
Love my rear slider and have it open every chance I get. Now just have to get used to remembering to close it which I seem to have a mental block about at times. In Seattle this can be problematic. A couple of weeks ago when I was on a business trip I get a phone call from my roomie saying "It's pouring here. Is your back window supposed to be open?" I was like "What do you think, sunshine?" D'oh! -
Plasti dipping parts on your Truck
Aussieshed replied to jakewake23's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Mods
Will the anthracite grey true metallic wheel kit allow me to get the polished gunmetal finished look that many rims have, or is something else better? Similar to the color in the wheel at the below link. http://www.discounttire.com/product/wheels/t_20150508.amomar.dgglbm.xl.jpg -
Mini Rant: Paying for Navigation Map Updates
Aussieshed replied to jasch1124's topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & Sierra
Google Maps, but lately I've been using Waze more so it gives me locations of cops, debris, traffic jams etc. I'm really liking the app, however it can drain your battery a bit, but better than it use to be.
