  1. Looking at my invoice it says: Recall 16007 Sensing and Diagnostic Module reprogramming. It seems to me like it would safe to reload my ECM and TCM tune. Right?
  2. I had the recall done today and I am pretty sure I lost my tune. The throttle feels much less sensitive was the first clue. Can I re-flash using my Autocal, or does that negate the point of having the recall done in the first place? Is there an update tune that incorporates the recall?
  3. Pulled my trailer up to Colorado from Texas and was getting 13 mpg against some serious 20-30 mph headwinds. Now that I am up here and dropped the trailer i got my best mpg on the display ever 23.8. That's with 4 people on board.
  4. I've been researching this some (because I'm a nerd). What they are saying is theoretically true. GM uses a hashing algorithm to compute a checksum of the tune. The hashing function they use is most likely a 32 bit key space which is over 4 billion values, but with a big enough input size, eventually all hashing algorithms will have duplicate keys. What that means is that it's possible to have 2 different tune files hash to the same key, and thus not be detectable by the version checker. However, it's not a simple thing to construct 2 inputs that hash to the same key, and it still has to be a valid tune file that does what you want. I'm not sure how big the image actually is, but I'm pretty sure it's less than 4GB, which makes it a lot less likely. So, long story short, I'm skeptical that it can be done. Here is a link to the patent if anyone wants get nerdy. http://www.google.com/patents/US20120245788
  5. I think TX is actually 3, 7, and 15 yards. I got 250/250 but I shoot USPSA and IDPA almost every weekend, so it was cake to me.
  6. Drove down to Houston and back for some tuning via Blackbear. Set a new record on the way and just barely beat it on the way back.
  7. It looks better with 20 bags of mulch in the back. (I figure that's about 1000 lbs.) It levels out nicely. The weird thing is with tow/haul mode on and 20 bags of mulch in the back, I got 25 mpg on the way home. Just seems to hold V4 much longer.
  8. Howdy neighbor, I've shot there 100's of times. That's pretty good for 15 yards, most people have a hard time just keeping 'em on paper at that distance.
  9. I have tried to own at least one of everything. I had an M&P 40 and an M&P Pro in 40. I got frustrated with the trigger and sold them. I bought my Wilson Combat CQB used. Saved a good chunk of money and no waiting. Very nice guns.
  10. If it wasn't for hype, bankruptcy laws, government contracts, and illegal arms sales, HK would have gone out of business already, but they're pretty close last I heard. I agree though, the Glock Perfection thing is BS. I own at least 12 of them, so I would know.
  11. They're actually pretty good guns, just seems like marketing department got too involved with the design.
  12. I hate Springfield's update to the XD. I would never buy anything with the words Grip Zone emblazoned on the side of it, unless it was a baseball bat. This here is the Trigger Zone, and that's the Slide Zone, the mags go in the Magazine Zone, and the bullets go out the Bullet Zone.
