like he said find a few peeps that are good riders and have there avy safety this is very important a hill does not have to me a mountain to side! If they are good peeps they will take you along and teach you as you go. My group we do this and us more seasoned riders never let the new ones out of our sight. My advice is get your sled out and ride seat time is soooo important learning how the machine feels and reacts. Balance and leverage is key when your going to ride backcountry because of the hazards. So knowing how to make your sled move is important then When your in a jam you can get out. When it snows a good foot at a time I still after years of riding will go out and practice keeping my sled on its edge and carving tight and so on in a field....like I said seat time! hi heck ya I'll be there the last 2 years I worked at the snow and mud booth this year I am working at turple bros booth. I am helping Stephany Schwartz who is one of you divas backcountry pro riders. So we will have divas stuff there. compete nope too old for that I compete with myself! I have a great group and we push each other pretty hard im part of a team that works with getting other ladies into the sledding world, I guide groups in the back country too any chance to get out with my truck and sled I do!

Here is mine it's my 3rd one. It's a 2013 Polaris pro rmk 163" I have been riding back country for the last 5 years. I ride every second weekend I commute 9hours from edmonton ab to sicamous bc just to ride. I was going to turbo it this year but the new truck won lol I am a memeber of the Bettie's power sports network as well i am sponsored by a women's sledding clothing line divas snow gear. This was a big reason for getting a new truck as I put on over 30,000km a year on my own. Here are a few pics I so love to ride it's truly my poison of choice!
