2015 Silverado Dash Rattle
hayes369 replied to ChevyBrad1500's topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & Sierra
That seems to be an easy way to tell if it's the screw causing the noise, mine was the same way - touching the panel made the noise go away. I was around 16,500 with mine when I first noticed it Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -

Maybe the dealer has delt with that issue before and assumed it was that? Just picked mine up from the dealer again, it was the same bolt mentioned by the OP and a loose clip behind the headlight switch. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -

Have the same thing on my 15, I asked the dealer to take a look at it last time it was in and they actually replaced the hood latch mechanism - didn't fix anything. I'll have to pull that panel off today and take a look at it. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -

Not necessarily today, but this week - final "free" service from the dealer, hitch recall completed, new caltrend seat covers, emptied my catch can, and gave it a bath: Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -

Any chance you could get a photo of the locations that need to be greased? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -

I spliced into the stock wires a few inches back from the stock lights. There was some electrical tape I pulled off, slid the wire loom back a bit, and tapped in. That way I could pull through loom back over and re-tape it so it looked close to stock. I can try to grab some pics when I get home. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -

Nope, I already had the factory lights in so I just spliced into the factory wiring harness in the bed and wrapped everything back up. There aren't any extra pins on that connector, are there? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -

Added some extra LED strips to my factory bed lights, it was just too dark after the line x went in. Also did the fog w/high diode, along with the cargo w/reverse diode. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -

Shot from the back with both lights on? You just drill through from the step? Looks good Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk -
Not sure have far north in the northeast you are but in the winter you will probably want to start emptying sooner. In cold temps they will easily fill up in only a few hundred miles - especially if you're taking shorter trips. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Not even 3 days worth here in MN with sub zero temps through the day. Looks like I will be shortening my emptying interval... It would be great if elite engineering came out with an larger reservoir for those of us that already purchased the standard can Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

My 2015 double cab has yet to show any issue with the dash (fingers crossed) and I'm nearing 15,000 miles However the 2015 crew cab wt we have at work has this issue, and it only has a couple thousand miles on it Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

I'm in Minnesota (go vikes btw) and I've been running an Elite can for a few thousand miles now. I haven't noticed any negative effects from the cold (although this has been a mild winter) The one thing to be aware of is the amount of condensation. I have a short drive to work so I have been catching a lot of water - which means emptying the can after only a few hundred miles. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
