4 wheel drive "Auto" setting
GulfTango replied to bertiman's topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & Sierra
Just had 24" of snow and still didn't need 4x4. Lots of weight in the bed from snow and just left it in 2x to see. Never lost traction. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

You have a rack place? That's awesome. I talked to some fabrication guys near me and they are ballpark quoting $1k-$2k ish. So I will have to see when I speak to them and CAD something up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I am debating between a cap and an expedition, or chase rack. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Yeah I am seeing that. He's pretty resourceful and we have another guy who has a pretty advanced electrical background ( he built us a battery for some medical equipment from scratch) I will definitely keep all interested members posted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is what my coworker is doing. He claims to have ordered the part(s) for $40. Once he does the install I'll add to this thread and most likely follow suit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

According to my coworker, it is a GM part. He claims it is a direct bolt on replacement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I know a few were upset that there is no up fitter switch option. Coworker of mine bought his truck a week before I got mine. He just installed the new Weston contour bar and is adding lights. He just ordered this. According to him it is a direct replacement for the 3 switches (traction control, cargo lamp, and hill descent control) on the LT. Anyone else try this? I'll update when he installs and will probably follow suit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

VIN Decoder & RPO Codes
GulfTango replied to 2016 Sierra Owner's topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & Sierra
Visited the website that you posted, and still cannot locate a bunch of the codes for my truck. Is there a difference depending one when the truck was built in the model year? Just curious, not terribly worried, but just wondering why they would not have all the codes published.
